Can you really be surprised that people are going to scale it?

Repeatedly.

I have a feeling this is going to be a daily occurrence. I may have to angle for a window office.

Waiting and hoping for a fall is a much better way to waste time on the clock.

The civics person in me says it was criminally irresponsible to do that without permission and safety equipment...especially for pedestrians.

The other civics person in me recognises the moral end of the "civic disobedience"
method of the second climber, who DID raise awareness of public concern about malaria and anthropomorphic climate change, in his own small way.

The inner poet in me cheers them all the way, along with mountaineers, wind-powered ocean sailors and extreme wilderness adventurers.

Pretty cheeky of the guy to invoke 9/11 over an non-issue like global warming. Might as well have said, "More New Yorkers are killed from jay walking than 9/11."

No wonder everyone hates the Frogs.

A few of us in the building did decide if it keeps happening we could make a tidy sum by selling high powered paintball rifles to passersby (gawkers).

We also did consider the boiling oil/burning pitch approach as well. But that stuff would get on our shoes when we left work and ruin them.

The truly fun part is that the guy used the "green technology" that reduces the energy consumption of the building to climb it in the first place.

Good going, ass. What an incentive for more people to install that sort of stuff.

Everybody doesn't hate the French. Everyone hates us.
