When I first saw this glancing down the list, I saw Lindsay and thought "Lindsay Lohan! WTF?". I think you should add this option.

You forgot Alaskan governor Sarah Palin. I don't think she'll be picked but a vocal number of McCainites think she'd be a perfect VP.

I was kinda clueless on the republican end of things and stole the info from some web site.

...Sarah's been added. She has my pick as I like the name. Smiley: grin

Sarah Palin

It'd be interesting to see what direction ANWR took. Palin is strongly for drilling, McCain has a long history of opposition.

It'd end up half-drilled, much like Cindy McCain.

Won't matter who it is. I will not be voting for him or Minnesota's "Republican" candidate for senate.

I won't be voting Democrat, either, but I won't vote for that aged tool.

living in FL there is loads of chatter about "Florida Gov. Charlie Crist" being the VP nom. in a way that would be good for FL as it will get rid of him, but god i hope he does not get the ticket and win.

It'll be a good judge of two things when McCain's VP is announced. Who's really pulling his strings, and how desperate they are.

If the RNC's in charge, he'll take Sanford or Ridge. If Charlie Black's still running the show, he'll take someone with broader "moderate" appeal. Romney or someone along those lines.

If they're convinced they're in deep **** and need a lot of free media and voltage around the VP choice, and friends tell me this is the feeling amongst many of the GOP fund raising guys, you might see some really out there choices. A woman, or Lieberman would both generate tons of free pub for months.

My money's on Sanford still.
