After listening to McCain chuckle in his recent speech I'm worried that he might snap.

Everyone who knows anything about him is pretty much constantly worried about that.

Ok, let's be honest for a minute. I love Obama, but he has a serious weakness in debates. He needs to get much better, not to beat McCain, who will come off as doddering old fool regardless, but to avoid the media narrative of every debate being a "tie".

His big advantage there is that he's more photogenic. I hate to say it, but it's true.

You are correct.

Although I thought he strengthened considerably until the last debate which was a fumble-fuck. Hopefully he can regain the strength he was showing in the two debates prior to that one.

Plus, I just liked the pictures.

In 1960? Probably. And Nixon was shifty-eyed and sweaty, haha.

Did Nixon agree to televised debates in 1968? Does anyone know?

Wouldn't that make Oblackman's coverage more than his fair share? Typical liberal media bias.

Only because there wasn't a "Obama has a crushingly overwhelming money advantage and should deny McCain all free PR he can by refusing to debate him more than twice"

And you are complaining about his forthrightness? Better that than a poser who knows nothing about the military and foreign policy and yet tries to portray himself as having mastered these skills, ie WTO status for Iran, pulling the military out of Iraq in abject surrender, etc etc, ad nausum.

No, actually, that one was one of the better ones in my opinion. The lack of impulse control in some of the others is a little disturbing, and the outright cruelty toward a young woman is off-putting.

Some of the rest are just sheer dumbassery.

Eh, a little dumba$$ery is prolly just what the doctor ordered for this country right now. Besides, from all reports, Chelsea is a mollycoddled and spoiled little rich girl who can't stand not to get her way. A little public humiliation will serve her well in the long run.

That's not even close to true. McCain just has no choice but to try and have as many debates as possible. Money wins elections, almost always, and McCain just cannot raise money.

McCain's guaranteed to say something stupid at some point in the debates, but if Obama fumbles, too, then it's "equal" in the media narrative. Which is a loss for Obama.

On the other hand if they hire Mandy Grunwald to slap him around a little in debate prep, he'll be fine and McCain will have trouble winning Arizona.

Had enough stupidity to last me a while, thanks. And I know you don't mean that. You can't believe anyone deserves that kind of treatment for the major crime of having supported her mother's ambitions.
