people who share your ideology tend to engage in more of all of the above because they don't attempt to adhere to little rules like "thou shalt not.."

The opposite has been shown to be the case. Proportionately, Atheists are responsible for a much smaller amount of crime than Christ worshipers.

Of course they are on average, much much smarter, so maybe we're just getting away with more.

So you're motto is don't ever engage in any acvitity that might put your well being at risk?

No, *my* motto is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This happens to include not preaching at them.

I'm all for them being beaten to death any time they don't shut up about their ludicrous "guy nailed to a tree for my sins" wackiness.

I agree fully and would add mailing a Bible to my house falls under the same beating rules.

If this were Muslims in a christian neighborhood it would be a entirely different story.

At least until that fateful day no one can escape.

Every time I read or hear any variation of this sentiment I am reminded that religion controls via fear of consequences.

You say that. Let's see what happens when/if a Muslim comes calling to tell you in all earnestness that you're damned if you don't convert to Islam.

At the risk of sounding catwhoish, make it a bloody monday and the suckyness of it all begins to accelerate at an astounding rate.

I dare anyone to bring a 'jesus loves me' pamphlet to my door today.

Like I said I won't sic the dogs on them or threaten to gather a bunch of neighbors and riot.
But can you speak for all Christians?

Has your religion, throughout history, been totally above violence to spread it's good word?

Yes. Because if that was the case, all the people saying that the cop was just trying to rightfully prevent some violence would be arguing the exact opposite and agreeing that he was violating the Muslim's right to practice their religion.

Whereas, I would turn away any christian missionaries at my door, if there were muslim missionaries, I'd welcome them in. I'd be very curious to know what they have to say because like most Americans, I know very little about their religion, though I'd have no intention of seriously considering converting.

Five pillars, two major denominations, a bit of history about Mecca and the last prophet, and you'll know as much about Islam as most Americans do about Christianity.

No, this from a man who's favorite sport is baseball. The country has a difficult time speaking for itself these days. Too many Bob damned illegals clogging the word hole.

I've been away. How's retirement treating you? You know, now that you had to acquire land legs, and all.
