As we have a few Brits here, and Vegas is cancelled, anyone up for a meet up in London?

I know Youshutup, Red (le Franglais) are already in London, and I suspect a few others are within relatively easy travelling distance.

What about a Friday or Saturday; food alcohol misuse, maybe a show (Spamalot or LoTR sound good).

Sometime in July maybe?

Suggestions peeps

I'm in a wedding party in Puerto Vallarta, MX this November so that shoots my vacation budget for this year. If all goes well, I'd love to visit the UK for like 2 weeks next year to see as much as I can. It's feasible now that I'm back on the east coast. An extended weekend to London might still be a possibility this year, but more likely in August or September.

I say we make a pilgrimage here. We can drink a few beers, smoke a few joints, and read aloud some of the best bits of Das Kapital.

I'll be around most of June/July/August except for a couple of weeks. When I know when those weeks are I can confirm dates.. but I think early July would be better.

Shows.. Lion King and Kevin Spacey at the old Vic could also be worth a visit, but LOTRO or Spamalot sound great. :)

Or everyone could come round to my flat bringing their spliffs and beers and water balloons, and throw stuff out the window at emo kids on Camden High Street..

I wish I only had 2 weddings in August. I've got 2 in July, 1 in August, 1 in October.

Thumb, for your daughter's sake, I think you should stop getting married so much.

Surely we need something more traditional for our American friends. Maybe "Jane Austen: The Musical on Ice!"? Or "Jane Austen: The Musical on Ice with a Cockney Accent While Sweeping Cheminées!"

That way we get it all done in one evening.

Spamalot was entertaining, but only because of the actors playing the lead roles (Tim Curry, David Hyde Pierce, and Hank Azaria).

Honestly, I preferred the movie.

Yeah, it's the first or second week of May, in Bordeaux...

I have to learn French again before then, bah.

They usually Anchor off Portsmouth, but you might go to Plymouth, both are within 4 hours of London by train.

Good to know, my next deployment marks the first time I've went across the pond. I wanted something different, been to Asia plenty of times, I want to see Europe.
