Personally got bored soon after my encounter with the toot-oriole due to lack of shiny, but it is pretty cool.

I think I still have my account on it somewhere. Best. Game. Ever.

We wanted to make a site for it, but we got outvoted by evil.

You're pretty sure she said "Drink it! What's the worst that can happen?"

My mom said that about the antifreeze!

Anyone played this?

Nexa and I played it through "ascension". It's pretty great.

In fact, once when she came down, I made her a drink in a coconut shell to give her strength. True story.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Not looking at the links, it sounds like Kingdom of Loathing.

Yes, it is awesome. You may get hooked, and be careful, to be competitive you must donate $10 a month or do activities that risk you getting banned.

That said, the dialogue is witty, the action is fast, and unlike MMOs, it cuts you off after your turns are over each day. Huzzah!

You don't say.

When I looked through the descriptions, it seemed like Disco Bandit was the thing to be.
Quote:
Disco Bandits are a moxie-based class with high evasion and the skills to make advanced cocktails, highly potent booze. They also have combat abilities which weaken their enemies and looting skills which increase item and meat drops. They, along with Accordion Thieves, can pickpocket enemies to steal their items, including some items that can only be obtained from pickpocketing.

Anything combines with anything, in game.

They have their own online radio station. I actually heard some music good enough to buy.

I think I've ascended twice: as a disco bandit and as a seal clubber in hardcore oxygenerian mode. Working on pastamancer.

Disco bandit was my favorite class thus far.

In real life I don't drink. However, through KoL I have great theoretical knowledge of how to mix drinks, although of course I don't know the ratios. At least I used to know them. Then the kids were born and sleep deprivation kicked in and I can barely recall everyone's names.

Recently they made the ascension process more interesting.

If you all are interested, it is possible to start a guild. Then we can buy such steller inventions as a hobo-flex home gym for the guild and a potted meat bush.

I played it many years ago. I was quite the turtle tamer (I think was the name).

Neat in that you can do all there is to be done in no more than an hour, but also the reason I quit. When you get to where you're basically grinding for an event and that's all you get to do that day, it gets a little old. I'd also have liked some more, I don't know, intimate partying method, rather than, "Hey here's a buff, k bye."

Unrelated note, anyone else entertained the idea of buying Precipice of Darkness? Anyone even read Penny Arcade at all?

Smash lost interest when I ascended before him. Who'd have guessed that would happen?

I play when I remember to. My forgot my password to my first account, so started a new one and haven't play in a few months.

The game has moxie to cause me to groan so much.
