Back in June 1996 i was caught up in the Manchester bombings by pure chance i bumped into an old friend and that ment i was on the victoria station side when the bomb blast went off ( If i had been on the Deansgate side i would have been one of the people moved closer to the bomb after the IRA lied about the location of the bomb), I count that as a little bit of luck at the right time.
Today i travelled up from Cornwall and arrived at Plymouth Station at 3.10pm, due to a previous Train being delayed tthe usual full taxi rank was empty when i left to i made a spur of the moment desicion to go into town and get Mrs Tarv's B'Day prezzie, but no sooner had i thought this when a taxi turned up so i went home.
I switched on the news at 6pm to find this as the lead story.
I would probably have been walking past that exact place at that exact time it happened had the Taxi not pulled up in a 10 second window.
Spooky.
