The British Police, a factual report.Follow

#1 May 23 2008 at 2:20 AM Rating: Good
As some you might know, I'm currently working in a policing think-tank in Great Britannia. The British Police is a wonderful and fascinating world, filled with statistics, reports, and Q2 targets.

I therefore it is my duty, nay, my calling!, to provide you all with an understanding of the way the British Police operate, thereby decreasing our, but mostly your, collective general ignorance.

I apologise in advance if some of you have already set your eyes upon this deliciously fact-filled factsheet, but I nonetheless believe a second reading can only be useful.

The Birtish Police and how it works and arrests people and puts them in jail, sometimes.

I don't see Jane Tennison in any of those photos.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

She couldn't survive in this male-dominated macho-pig culture, and therefore got married a traffic warden, See Box 1.F.

True, though I suspect that Jane T. and Fitz share the same bra-size.

Brilliant! Pity they didn't have any cases with wogs or gyppos for the little'uns. Not everyone reads Enid Blyton these days..

I've heard that if you're going to get arrested, England is the place to be. Now, after reading that insightful work, I'm scared they are no better then the LAPD.

So the pictures are from a real book, I'm guessing, which makes it doubly funny.

NO, no, the answer was Canada. Canada, thanks for playing. I knew a guy who would often wistfully hark back to the halcyon days he had spend on the forced labor maple syrup chain gang outside of Edmonton. Tuxedoed prison guards with exquisite mustachios would walk about the crowd of assembled workers as they nailed buckets to trees, asking "Can I get you another beer, buddy? How about some pot?" Then they'd all while the days curling on frozen Jackfish lake, until it was time to return to the prison for milk and cookies.
