GLW - Flat Screen glass FTW

Real risky venture but maybe its time to load up on financials. BBT is paying like a 10% dividend and is about 1/2 of its high for the last year. But financials are some scary ***** right now.

All right: I will do a second content, duration 4 months, independent of the first. Anyone can do both, I don't care. But I want them to terminate on the same day - November 19 2008, so this second one will start July 19, so you can have AFMI.OB at whatever it opens on that day, if you like, or you can pick something else.

For each winner of each contest, bragging rights and rate ups from me.

So far, Nephthys is winning with just over a month to go. With Sears, since Sears owns Kmart, and he asked for Kmart.

Call me crazy, but I'm banking on GM to make a comeback in a year or two. I have no idea about the next 6 months though.

I'm also fairly stupid for not noticing a necrobump.

I've been thinking about buying some oddesy Marine stock. There is going to be a discovery chanel special on their salvage of the black swan wreck in november, which is about the same time the legal wrangling with Spain is supposedly going to be resolved. Plus it's pretty inexpensive at the moment.

I can't see two years into the future, but it would be reasonable to expect at best decreased gains and more likely losses for the next six months. GM has to change their production focus on trucks to more fuel efficient vehicles to match the market.

They've also got a fuel-efficient Camaro model (well, 26mpg hwy with the auto trans) they're going to introduce next year, and things are still up in the air with Volt. I really believe GM has, for practical purposes, bottomed out or come damn close, and having worked closely with several of the marketing folks at Chevy, GMC and Pontiac over the past few years, I know they've seen the light. Unlike Ford, who's still pushing their truck line. Smiley: confused
