Well, yeah. More than a little. Catherine Tate as Dr. Who's companion?

(Cue Nobby - though he's probably eons too old for this business.)

The noblet's still a huge fan but I only watched a few episodes with Billie "FishGob" Piper.

Freema Agyeman was good in the next series, and serious eye-candy, but Catherine Tate is one of the reasons I can't be ***** watching the new series. I enjoy some of her sketch shows (If you haven't seen her 'old woman' character you're missing something), but I just can't see her in a relatively straight role at all.

What's wrong with blondes with big mouths?

Not big - large. Like unusually large, specially when she smiled. She looked disproportionate.

Think Mick Jagger with botox.

And yeah Nobby, I rather liked Freema. You're dead on with the straight role thing and Catherine Tate. She's so over the top even when she ratchets it back that it's just ugh.

Her sketch comedy *is* hilarious though.

Me too. I can't say I'm saddened by her leaving Dr. Who to make an adult show about being a high class hooker.

Was that Rose at the end of the Adipose Nursery episode that faded into the background after Tate leaves her with a message for her mum?

Kathryn Tate is a "guest companion" for one episode of Dr Who only - the Christmas Special. She's not the companion for the new series.

Yeah, that wouold explain why, including the Xmas special, she's so far been in 5 episodes . Get your facts right ^^

As for Nobby saying he can't see her in a 'straight' role - no kidding, she's CRAP. All gob and no brain content .

this is actually better than the new series of DR Who

That sketch is indeed very hilarious.

I like Catherine Tate as the new assistant, at least this time it isn't about the Doctor falling in love with his young and pretty assistant which we all know isn't going to work out anyway. There's more humour in the show, and the assistant might be at times rather irritating, she's be more interesting imo.
