I've already had one of my towns pillaged to the point of uselessness. I had to demolish all my buildings except for Town Hall and the Market, to raise enough cash to keep going.

Some clever ******* keeps attacking my other town just often enough and with just enough success to keep me from being able to expand. My spy just got back from scoping out his garrison, and he's fairly weak defensively, so I'm gonna lay siege to his town shortly (if I can amass a bit more of an army).

Eh.

It keeps me busy when I'm not busy doing something else.

I've only been attacked twice, the second time is on going right now. I just sent all my resources to my main town to preserve them, thankfully the asshat is going for my sulphur colony, hate that place. He can have the damn place for all I care.

I've been attacked only one, but I kept a record of who, where he is and all so I can strike back someday.

I even have all the info on what he stole me.

Build at least one ship, then their attacks are turned away unless they first send a blockcade, and blockades take a long time to arrive. Also build up some spys for defense, if they don't know what you have they won't attack you.

A little trick I just learned learned, that is still allowed but likely to be coded out of the game sooner or later, is that if you have ships and you blockade someone, then you capture any ships (just the goods on the ships actually) that go to that town during the blockade, including foreign ships coming to sell goods at that town. So if Player A puts a blockade on Player B's town, and then player B puts up Buy orders on his trading post at a high price for goods, and lots of people send their ships their to get that high price, player A will capture all those goods. An unscrupulous pair of individuals could make out like bandits. Though probably make a lot of enemies.

Here is a hit I made today:

This game can officially go fUck itself. I blockaded a fellow last night and pillaged him a few times for some crystal, and this morning I have 50 ships blockading my capital, and 150 troops on the way from two different players. My defenses are shot, and I don't have the interest to rebuild.

If you guys want my resources, PM me and I'll send you my account info.

Pillage inactive players (i) to gain lots of extra goods and no retribution issues. Then when there are no more inactives with quality resources, move on to pillage active players that are not in a a guild, you know, the guys with no friends. Rebuilding troops may seem a pain, but as you play longer you will realize that the upkeep costs on troops far, far out weigh their original build costs. You now have involuntarily low upkeep costs. You can rebuild troops at your leisure. Many inactive have no troops at all and can be repeatably attacked, just be careful when they have high wall levels, troops can suffer attrition against them even if no defenders.
