hmm, BT has marble, but unfortunately, he just went out of town :(

I'm building a palace and will try building a colony on a marble producing island next, since it appears to be where we are short. I think I can safely say that with the surplus of sulfur, it is only a matter of time before we control the world of Theta in an iron grip.

Excepting DSD and her friends, naturally. I'll keep sending them wine and they'll be too drunk to notice.

im researching expansion right now. there is a group of 4 islands, one of each resource with no people on them two squares from me. Ill be looking to habitate them as soon as i can. It would be great if we could get everyone to get a town on each of the 4 islands.

I've got my first colony up and running a great wine farm. Before I can move on though I need an insane amount of marble. Oh and Nexa, my friends are planning world domination too haha. We're under the Alliance Bane. I'm telling you, with all of us together, I think we could absolutely devastate theta Smiley: sly

Anyone know what the (i) or (v) after a town name means? I'm assuming inactive and on vacation, but I'd like to know for sure before I raid someone.

Ah, like Ogame. Dur.

FYI, don't decide to train troops if you don't want them. You can't cancel the training order. You got to fire them afterwards.

Has 12 Swordsmen he doesn't need. Looks like I'm gunna do some raiding.

Ouch, make that 31 Swordsmen. Fuckin' idiot I am.

Speaking of armies, I plan on building quite the naval armada once I've expanded enough to support it. I figure we can have different people build navies for blockading, and others build foot soldiers for pillaging.

Then we divide up the booty over the corpses of our fallen enemies.

It's from the same fellow that attacked me earlier with a few slingers and perished. This time, his actions will not be overlooked. It seems that I must postpone the expansion of my empire in order to crush him beneath my feet.

He killed off a Slinger, 3 Swordsmen and 4 Phalanxes to gain 25 gold, while losing 3 Slingers, 2 Swordsmen and a Phalanx himself.

I'm currently beefing up the army. I sent him a stern warning to cease his attacks, but as soon as I can get more men in the field, I'm going to crush him anyways.

It's my understanding that you need to research Foreign Cultures before you can establish an Embassy. Once you have a level 3 embassy, you can found an alliance.

Edit: Oh, and just about 24 hours before my Foreign Cultures research is done.

Yea, I have everything needed to start an alliance. That is why I asked, but reading up on Alliances it looks like you need to spend one diplomat point for every person in the Alliance and the only way to get a diplomat point is to upgrade your Embassy. So it looks like an Alliance is not a sudden thing with lots of members but grows slowly.

Grats!

Edit: had problem, it's better now.

Also, I have glass if anyone wants any. I'm happy to send glass for free to anyone who wants to make their very first Acadamy upgrade.

Grats Ari, you broke the game. I'm just not sure how to go about fixing as I've never had this happen to me.

I did just build my first colony on a marble island with a Temple of Gaia on it, which gives 10% more marble, so I should have some extra if anyone needs it. It'll take me a couple days to get the place set up though.
#125 Apr 30 2008 at 12:48 AM Rating: Good
Aripyanfar, tried the official Ikariam forums? I think there is a link from your Ikariam page.

Yep, here is it:
http://board.ikariam.org/

Check to see if your problem is an old one or if you need to make a new thread.

About glass / wine, I can use whatever I get. I have more than enough Sulphur to give away, and marble is slowly coming along from the new colony, but I can't give any yet, still need loads to get up and running.
