Bullsh*t. Physical abuse is abuse involving contact intended to cause pain, injury, or other physical suffering or harm. Just about every man on the f'cking planet has been abused by a woman. Women get away with it because they're...well, women.

No they haven't just like "Just about every woman on the planet" hasn't either.

Spousal abuse is not common for either sex and it's vitually unknown for women to abuse men

Look, you might have personal "I'm a giant sissy" issues to deal with, but don't project them onto the rest of your gender. It's not "physical abuse" if you're laughing about it ten minutes later.

I'm not sure if it is as much he's a giant sissy as he might have some major mother issues.

You think? I find most of the misogynistic "it's a double standard for women, they're so lucky to be women to be able to take advantage of all the unfair bias towards them in society" largely just want to blow sailors but for whatever reason can't externalize it.

Yeah, obviously, if she's going to laugh about it in ten minutes. What's the problem, seriously? If two consenting people are fine with hitting each other as a form of expression who are you to judge it, you ******* prude.

Maybe he just has a major Oedipal complex but instead of the classic triangle, he wants to kill his mother and fUck his father.

Could be. Unfortunately, she'd obviously be able to fend him off with a limp wristed slap.

Actually it's us men that are creating this particular double standard, so I don't see how it's misogynistic. I'm basically saying men are f'cking stupid for not holding women up to the same standards as men when it comes to abuse.

Your saying you don't see how men deciding that women require special treatment because they're weak is misogynistic? Interesting.

Also, it's "we men who" not that I care, really, but for future reference.

Thwarted? Perhaps that is why you recreate the same dynamic repetitively, in the hope of finally succeeding?

I've got $20 you're attracted to over dramatic Tennessee Williams heroine type of women who are always in some crisis or another, and you just can't imagine why you keep ending up with them.

Life's such a crazy mystery.

Sure, I guess that makes sense. We should probably lock people up for patting their children on the heads, too. Sure, the kids can take it, but it's still unsolicited physical attention.

I always find Yoda's "Women have it soooo good, men are always left with the short end of the stick!" (no pun intended) tirades interesting.

I can't help but wonder what happened in some past relationship that made him so jaded. Maybe he was slapped by a girlfriend once.

If it hasn't happened yet it's pretty much inevitable.

The husband guy's first wife was abusive. She hit, yelled and manipulated constantly. And that's why she's his ex.

She's currently abusing her second husband, who sits and takes it like a pansy.

Tell that to a woman who's been hit by a man. There's a very large double standard when it comes to spousal violence, so much so that men don't consider a lot of things that happen to them to be abuse when it actually is.
To be fair to the lady's a 120lb waif is significantly less likely to cause any damage than a 250lb redneck.
Female abusers are much more likely to use a weapon than a male abuser, it more than makes up for the weight disparity.

If a woman, who was hit by a man, said that it was not abuse because it only happened once in while and the woman never let the man take control through the hitting, then most people would say that she is wrong and it is still abuse. Swap the words man and woman and people give a different answer. It is a double standard. Physical abuse is not about being controlled, it is about being assaulted, and every person, male or female has a right not to be assaulted. Being controlled through physical abuse is another level of abuse entirely, on top of the physical abuse.

False.

It is a double standard.

False. It's a *standard*. Men have more potential to cause harm through unarmed physical violence. A double standard would be if both parties had equal potential to cause harm, they don't.

False.

I think you actually mean "battered" but whatever. Still wrong.
