I was Londons turn to Host the olympic torch today as part of the utterly unnecessary "world tour".

I fully support the right to peacefully protest but when you start attacking a british TV personality in the street for Carrying a Sports symbol then you haven't so much crossed the line as trampled all over it.

On a scale of 1 - 10 the treatment of people in Tibet come in at about a 2, there are far far worse things happeneing around the world than in Tibet.

I'd rather be a white middle class westerner who doesn't have to live under a vicious regime that has invaded and occuied my country, stamped on my freedoms (as I see them) and systematically destroyed my culture and religion, whilst busily dumping all their industrial waste in my countryside.

How about you?

I learned that the olympic torch is not the same as the olymipic flame. The olympic flame is apparently kept in a box.

The French officials in charge of the well being of the torch and it's bearer, decided to just Snuff It Out and board it on a bus to by-pass the protestors.
