BOSTON - They may be pushing 40, but the New Kids are returning to the block. The Boston boy band New Kids on the Block, which sold 70 million albums in the 1980s and early 1990s, has reunited and plans to release a new album and go on tour.

This is proof to me that karma does come back and kick you in the ***. Well, me anyway. I'm sure I've wronged enough people to warrant this retaliation.

Ex wife had like 10000 KNOTB paper plates and cups. I never asked why.

I'll listen to it.

If for no other reason to laugh at myself for liking them when I was younger.

One of the partners here at work bought us all that book on CD. Told us all to listen to it. I have an hour commute, so I listed to it and laughed almost the entire time.

Liked it is one thing (although in it's own way terrifying) the people who found it to be a fact based religious text to live their lives by, um yeah.

OH, right, yeah, no.

I meant, that I liked it in the way that I like Ainulindalë (still my very favorite creation myth).

NKOTB was my very first concert experience.

Here's hoping Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch reunite as well.

The (sadly) most relevant question is who is going to do the production.

An almost contemporary brit boy-band ('Take That') were a manufactured eye-candy troupe who were huge in most places apart from USA (All their attempts to break that market were hampered by their lack of talent). They made a fortune then folded in the 90s.

They reformed a year or two ago and their album was (whilst not my cup of tea) superbly produced and marketed. They just did the theme song to Stardust and are making millions.

What's interesting is that they don't just sell to their aging fans from the old days, they have a whole new market.

Their debut single on reforming (Patience) was possibly one of the most well-crafted and catchy commercial pop-songs of recent years, with people like McCartney and Simon Cowell falling over each other to praise them.

That said, here's hoping NKoTB II spazz out.

I was just old enough to think they were LAME (but I still thought one of them was pretty cute).

I'm pretty sure this is a sign that it's time to start stocking up on canned goods and digging a hole in a mountain to prepare for what's to come though.

I think it's more a sign that their solo careers all tanked and Donny's acting career never took off like his brother's did.

They probably really need money now. Didn't one of them even go on The Surreal Life?

Need, shmeed. I'm pretty sure if you offered most people millions to dance around like idiots, they'd do it regardless of their financial status.
