Disturbed teenager rapes 7-year-old on school bus. Teen ADMITS doing it. Bus driver says "La-la-la-la-la nah didn't happen, I never saw it, the little girl is lying!" School district says neither it nor the bus driver are responsible for what happens to a kid on their bus.

And all through, I'm hearing Gbaji chanting, "Marks, or it never happened!"

That poor girl, she would have been all un-raped if only her parents had cared enough to home school her.

WTF is up with the trend of posting about a news story by linking to a youtube video of some airbrained reporters talking about it?

If the story doesn't actually involve a video I need to see, don't link to a video. I prefer to read myself rather then be read to...

I agree with you. I at least like it when someone mentions that it's a video (yes, I know I could check), since I usually assume that a news story is going to be an article.

Simple. Go to the cops, get your daughter in therapy, sue the school. I wouldn't even stop to go to the press till after.

Un-raped, sure. But assuredly socially awkward - gasp!

..or at least the rape could have been by someone she knew and trusted.

But that's most rapes. If we didn't have the occasional, very rare stranger rape, then Lifetime wouldn't have any movies to make.

Yeah, but how many movies can Tori Spelling really crank out in a given year? No more than 80, I'd submit.

I wouldn't put it past an ED kid to lie about it, but surely they had some other grounds for the accusation. Something definitive stated by the child or some kind of scarring/bruising? Seems like something they should have at least briefly mentioned. Actually I find it a bit harder to believe that a 7 year old girl was penetrated and didn't freak out. Is she a special education student herself? If it really happened and the driver still claims ignorance, I would probably investigate the driver as well.
