So, anyone doing anything fun for Easter? I think Mr. Tare has tomorrow off so we will likely be doing some family fun stuff. Or working around the house. =(

I'm cooking Easter dinner and having some QT with mah baby. He's been away working the past three weeks.

Other than that, I'm hoping my best friend's family invites me over, because DAMN his folks can cook.

I'm seeing my mum tomorrow, and playing football on Saturday. I'll also finish watching the 4th season of the Wire. On Sunday, I'm watching Chelsea - ******** before some friends of my gf come over to eat at our place. If they're early, they're going on the balcony until the game is over. No way I'm missing any of it, it's Grand Slam Sunday! And on Monday, going for a walk.

So yeah, nothing very exciting Smiley: glare

Easter itself? Most likely take a nap after the kids and I come down from our sugar rush. Until then I'll be running around like a maniac trying to entertain and keep the kids from getting killed...by me

I did Easter with the kiddo and ex husband and a couple friends last Sunday (dinner, egg hunt). This weekend I'm hanging out with the Roo and I believe having dinner Sunday with his family.

I buy sea monkeys on Easter because they become magically resurrected much like Jesus.

I suppose they would if I put them into the freezer.

Baseball during Good Friday is surely blasphematricious.

My Grandma and uncle are coming in, and even though we have no young'ns, we still dye eggs. Then we usually just play board/card games during the day, have an delicious ham dinner, all interspersed with a family tradition called "Stutz."

I have no idea what the word means, if its even spelled correctly, or anything, but the idea of the game is to select a dyed egg, hold it tightly in your fist with the pointy end showing, and have someone else rap the exposed pointy end with their own egg. Whichever egg doesn't crack is the winner.

I'm being forced to church with the in-laws.

Then, most likely, my mother-in-law will try to bully me into riding a horse. Or a mule. Hopefully we can talk her into just a nice carriage ride.

My birthday is next week so Flea is taking me out on Sunday. I know we're going to see some performance but I'm not solid on the details and timing.

Spending Easter weekend snowboarding with my family at Sunday River. My birthday's next week too so we'll probably be doing the celebration for it up there. Yay for more snow in Maine this weekend! (sorry, Nexa).

Passion of the Christ.

Or maybe the sequel, which would be seasonal for Easter.

Passion of the Christ 2: This time, he's pissed.

Well I had no idea Easter was this weekend until I opened this thread so I'm afraid I'm woefully unprepared. Hopefully I can still find some of those little plastic eggs.

The show, if I remember, is a revue of Between Barack and a Hard Place, at Second City, and it's a political sketch show based on the '08 election and Chicago politics.

When the hell did Easter become a Holiday? I'm Catholic, and we barely notice the day. Here in Illinois, people take the day off, have brunch... It's a whole thing.

I have to work from 12-6 on Sunday, but then I get to go have dinner with the fiance's family. I'll probably spend the night at my fiance's place and we'll probably go for dinner or something on Monday.

A normal weekend with a shortened shift and an awesome dinner.

Hooray I guess.

Yeah, I dunno. A friend of mine had the day off today. For Good Friday. I mean, what the hell?

Brunch is pretty much the key.

I was going upstate to my mom's house with the family; it wold be the longest the baby has been in the car/away from home - a 2 hour drive. It would be interesting.

Then, I locked my car keys in the van and it's the only set. I have no idea how to get into it besides breaking a window; we don't even have a wire coathanger to use (it's currently in the back of the locked vehicle). I guess I'm gonna have to wait till Monday ad call a locksmith.
