Where did it go? A ten year-old Asian meth-fiend has more '***' than this place. Or any Asian for that matter - and that's really saying something - but that's beside the point.
Looking at the front page, what do I see? A dozen political threads. Wow, political threads. Great. I've been meaning to catch up on my boring. I'm not saying I'm above the influence of media effecting my opinion, but I am saying that I'm unlikely to have my opinion swayed by some yokel in Kentucky who roleplays (err, used to roleplay) a dark elf paladin because he can less eloquently re-articulate the garbage he heard Robert Novak produce an hour earlier on CNN, and I'm certainly not going to be impressed by some halfwit who expectantly waits for a pat on the back from the board because he somehow managed to cut-and-paste some whacko liberal article he found by the AP.
And then there's some unclickworthy crap about homeschooling, which, as should be self-evident by now, I know nothing about because it was unfcukingclickworthy.
Let's not forget the scintillating piece by Alla concerning his travails with the IRS. At least, I'm assuming that's what the post was about judging by it's title, but again, as you've probably guessed it, it sounded too fcuking boring to investigate, so I don't really know. It could have been a monologue from Step Up 2: The Streets, how the hell would I know? But, ya gotta consider the source. Any response to anything he's ever said has resulted from one of two things: 1. Sympathy. 2. Ingratiating Sychophancy. But hey, that's great. It's a small consolation for a website that's slowly dying. Smell the flowers while you can, that's what I say.
Oh, and then there was the announcement regarding Arthur C. Clarke's death. Yeah, that came in handy. Now that's a complicated issue. I didn't fully understand all of the story's far-reaching implications when it originally unfolded 22 hours earlier and I heard on the radio that he'd died. Or when I'd read online that he was dead. Or when I passed by the TV any of the 37 times that day and saw that he was no longer among us. Or when I learned from a co-worker that Mr. Clarke had passed away at age 90. Or when I read a half dozen blog articles that mentioned his death. No, it really all came together when I read about it here. What the **** is wrong with you people? There are only 14 active posters on this forum. Is it really such an accomplishment to be one of the first 12 of those 14 people to post a redundant article? If so, I have a doozy for you!
THIS JUST IN: Scribblesmith just took a dump!
Don't worry. I'm here now. You may not like me. Maybe I irritated you a little. Maybe I made you LOI. Maybe I gave you gas. Whatever the **** you're feeling, it's gotta be more interesting than the catatonia that prophesied my advent. I won't post much. Rarely even. But I'll make you a happier person.
