OK,

So I am probably not the only person watching this. After last Thursday's show though, I was kinda upset. Reason: BreakSk8 is now out of the runnings. Crushed my heart too. Us people from Indiana gotta stick together (plus I've seen them skate IRL).

Here's the issue I had with how they treated them (and some of the other crews too): You give them a whack (yes I said whack) song and then expect some big performance from them, or you give them a song that was not designed for them, then criticize them when it is not a good performance. Last thursday was a prime example. For the challenge, each crew had to take a broadway show, incorporate a piece of the show into their routine and make it their own. OK - very cool. One group got Chicago, another group got Grease, another got Hairspray - all very good selections for no matter who got them. Then they come to BreakSk8 - and they give them what? Dreamgirls..... <.< A group of 5 guys has to do a broadway show designed for all girls - yeah - that's fair alright.

It's like the show just hated them. I mean, they even had to sake to "Cupid Shuffle" - COME ON!!! Even not on skates, there isn't much you can do with the song. I still think the best performances were from the Thriller album night. Status Quo's was ehhh, but it wasn't bad.

I don't think this is the only show show that seems to want to hate people. Even the famed..... American Idol....... seems as though they vote off more good people than bad. I think it's nice that these shows are giving you and I the chance to say who is our favoirite, but there are plenty of people who will just keep the horrible people in there - just for kicks.

Maybe the old school way of judging should be brought back.

I'm going to assume, that much like the people in my province, they're all damn near useless and any success by one, is viewed as a success by all, because they/we need to live vicariously through others.

While the whole dancing on skates thing is neat and fun to watch, all of breaksk8's "dance moves" were pretty much the same every week.

The point of a challenge is to challenge... doing the same old same old that a group is comfortable with is not a challenge (although, yes, they did get kind of screwed out of song choice).

It's also cool how they used the 8 instead of -ate in skate. It makes me think that they must be really smart and they make me think of that song "Sk8ter Boy" by Avril Lavigne. And I think we can all agree about how cool she is.

A group of guys who dance on in-line skates and call themselves "BreakSk8"? Sounds like a bunch of vaginas to me.

You seriously thought about posting this in the asylum and then went through with it? Have you ever read a thread in here about their feelings on pop culture? They tear it apart and then pour ketchup on it for feasting purposes. You deserve any flames tossed at you for following this, whatever the hell it is, as much as you do. Posting a pretty long comment about it is a whoooole other level of idiocy. You may be able to earn an iota of respect back if you can name the 3 main candidates and at least 3 of their positions.

And yes you ARE the only one watching it. Die in a fiery hailstorm (the hail being extremely large and set on fire)

Ehh - pop culture - oh well - it is very much a part of the society we live in. Whether you like it or not, it's part of you as well. For instance: If I were to play the theme song from "Friends," probably 99% of people would recognize it. Even if you never actually watched "friends," you knew the song was in itself the theme song.

So whether we like it or not, it's part of our society. And even more so, it is creeping into foreign societies. So just because you think pop culture is a mute point does not mean the rest of the world does. While I can not agree with everything happening in the world, pop culture is here - and it has been for some time.

You can fight it all you want, but the end result is - pop culture continues despite whether you like it or not. You are entitled to your opinion and when stated properly - is respected.

And yes - i know exactly how much pop culture is hated in these forums. But don't you think the forum, which is designated as an "OOT" forum, desreves more than political debates. I am not saying that you are wrong for posting them, but come on - just about every post is about politics - it has turned from an OOT forum to a "Politics" forum.

If you want a politics forum - ask Allakhazam to put up a politics forum. Otherwise - accept the fact that I dont have to talk about politics

I would post more. In fact, I hear that there is a new season of "So you think you can dance?" and "Dancing with the Stars!"
