How many republican presidents have used god as a justification to get elected? Its no secret that republican presidents suck the proverbial cock of the Christian right to get elected. Bush is a prime example of this.
I have never seen a republican president "use god as a justification" to get elected. I'm not even sure what you mean by that? They stand at a podium and say "God wants me to be president, so vote for me!"? Sorry. I've never seen that happen.
Do Republicans court the Religious Right vote? Of course. It's a pretty good sized voting block. And, despite what some might wish, they have just as much right to vote as everyone else, and therefore just as much right to have representation as everyone else.
You're creating a false equivalence here. The concern with Wright is not that he's religious. That would be hypocritical. It's the non-religious stuff he's preaching that is of concern. Find me a Republican president who actively participates in a religious group who's leader makes anti-semitic, anti-ethnic, and anti-american statements in his sermons (and not in a "I interpret this ideology to be bad for america, but an actual "America is bad" type of statement).
Can't do it, can you?
That's why there's a huge difference here.

You cannot call Obama on his religious connection without admitting the continual connection of republicans and the religious right.
It's not about the mere fact of having a religious connection. It's the non-religious connotations involved that people care about. No one's concerned that he attends church. If you think that's the issue, you've completely missed the point...
