Um... Sure Smash.
For the people Obama needs to win over in order to have a chance in the general election, it's the pastor thing that's going to matter. Trust me. No one even knows what the hell you're talking about with regard to McCain. Everyone has heard Reverend Writes recorded diatribe against America and Obamas incredibly weak response(s).
Seriously. Who in his staff thought: "Just say he's stepping down and it'll all go away" was a good strategy for this? It's not like Write has been just about to step down for the last 20 years while Obama has attended and been "active" in his church.
Incredible fail. I actually expected a much better response from Obama. Maybe a bit of that "he's a superman!" was rubbing off on me or something. But he sounded just like every other politician responding lamely to a scandalous situation on this. Worse, since there's really no way to back out of it. Doubly worse when combined with his Wifes multiple statements past and present that seem to echo Write's position on America...
This is a "wheels falling off the bus" moment for the Obama campaign. Anyone who hasn't had their head buried in magic Obama sand for the last year knows it. It's possible those wheels could be put back on, but not with what we've seen from Obama over the last few days on this issue. And not if Obama and his "fans" don't realize that this really is a big deal to the people they need to win over. As long as they pretend they can just gloss it over and the faithful will continue to flock to him, this will get worse. Much much worse...

I always love the classic liberal "Vote for me because horrible things are happening!!!" approach... Gives me warm fuzzies all over.
It's a "classic" because it happens EVERY TIME the GOP is in power more than four years.
No. It's classic because you Liberals are like the broken clock of the political world. You say the same thing constantly, and kinda hope that conditions match what you say.
How many years has the "economy been in the dumpster" Smash? Now maybe it will go into recession coming up here soon. Who knows? But you've been wrong for the last 7 years straight that you kept predicting recession. What're the odds you'll be right this time?
So yeah. I find it amusing, in a "boy who cried wolf" kind of way...
