Of course, no mention was made about her own lofty position in the heady heights of american politics, wich if it wern't for affirmative action towards wimminz in this day and age, the only position she would have is on her knees in the oval office.

And she's half Italian.

Of course, no mention was made about her own lofty position in the heady heights of american politics, wich if it wern't for affirmative action towards wimminz in this day and age, the only position she would have is on her knees in the oval office.

Ferraro's one of the very very very few female politicians who's primary reason for successfully seeking office wasn't having married a successful politician. She's also old and about as relevant to Democratic politics as Jerry Brown these days.

My mom once had lunch with Ms. Ferraro. This was back during her Veep run so I remember thinking that it was pretty cool. I've no idea what the context of the lunch was though.

She is married to a Real Estate agent tho. It would be pretty hard to pick the most trustworthy amongst a group of politicians, lawyers or Estate agents.

Nah, now that I think about it, she was working some superviser role which included visiting a warehouse in the city at the time. I'm sure it was some "Geraldine cares about the wage-slaves" luncheon and photo-op.
