I've had an opportunity arise to upgrade from rural Oregon to a kennel in the Bay Area. It'd be a lot less work, for more money, and I might actually see other humans occasionally. Plus, I think it's pretty obvious I belong in California.
Well, good luck with it. I'm quasi-jealous of the set-up you have now -- jealous in that its beautiful land and not jealous in that I'd never do the necessary work to maintain it.
Thanks.
And yeah, I love this property, but it's way too much work to run a business on it in addition to just maintaining the land. It'd be great if I didn't have to work, but what wouldn't be?
The beauty of the California thing is I'll just be leasing an already established business, and I won't be selling this place, so I can come back to retire or if I just don't dig California. Plus, the place in California comes with employees.
Employees. Like, people to do some of the work. That is just rad.
