I'll spend most of the weekend writing a syntax file in SPSS.

I'll probably also write a couple of papers and read a couple of books for class.

I'm like, a barrell a laughs ovah heah.

I'm going to watch the musical version of "The harder they come". No idea what it'll be like. I loved the movie but I hate musicals, so we'll see. Should be interesting.

Saturday playing soccer, and cleaning the flat/doing bills/boring stuff.

Sunday will probably go for a walk in the countryside, and finsh watching the third season of The Wire in the evening.

The flu is running across my campus like the plague...my office has been at half staff for the entire week. I was out Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday.

At 4pm, I start vacation for a week. Not going out of town, but happily not going into work either. Girlfriend's coming up with the kids for the week, so not sure how much of vacation it'll really be. Should be both a fun and frustrating week.

I'm blowing glass tonight and on Saturday, going to keep working at making goblets.

Other than that, writing my seminar paper about "One country, two systems" and if it would work any for Taiwan.

Helping some friends move, with the promise of beer and pizza as payment. That's assuming all three of us get over the plague we've had most of this week by Sunday. And I'll be praying that my son's first cold has not, in fact, resulted in fluid (and possibly infection) in his ears, but considering the screaming fit he had this morning before he collapsed in exhaustion, I'm not holding out a lot of hope.

Mrs. Yossarian and I are taking a minivacation for the first time in a long time. Whale watching, eating out, plenty of intimate alone time, maybe a little WoW. And a month from now, baby version 2.0 comes and it will be changing diapers and crying baby at 2am all over again.

Right now I'm about to get an x-ray and an MRI. After that, I'll head home and grab a nap. Then playing WoW the rest of the night. Tomorrow, I'm getting some blood drawn for some more tests, walk the dogs (weather permitting), play more WoW, then I have a date in the evening. Sunday - laundry, WoW, dog walking, and a nap. Life in the fastlane - whee!

I may not be able to reply if I get called away, but all this testing is for nothing too serious.

Giving up the chickens & dogs game?

I have two anthropology short essays to write for an exam on Monday. I guess Monday after work won't be the time to start them.

The chickens, yes. And the sheeps.

I've had an opportunity arise to upgrade from rural Oregon to a kennel in the Bay Area. It'd be a lot less work, for more money, and I might actually see other humans occasionally. Plus, I think it's pretty obvious I belong in California.

Apart from catching up on housework, laundry etc. . .

Forecast is rainy and windy and generally Shitty, so mostly indoors I reckon.

Watching the 6 nations rugby on TV, some boooooring PC tidying (Backup & clean all my data from the old PC so the Noblet can take it over), restring some of the guitars, and might rewind the pickup coils on the mandolin.

I'm wondering whether to step back into LoTRO and/or WoW, but the bug left me a few weeks ago; I'll see if it comes back.

Well, good luck with it. I'm quasi-jealous of the set-up you have now -- jealous in that its beautiful land and not jealous in that I'd never do the necessary work to maintain it.

Thanks.

And yeah, I love this property, but it's way too much work to run a business on it in addition to just maintaining the land. It'd be great if I didn't have to work, but what wouldn't be?

The beauty of the California thing is I'll just be leasing an already established business, and I won't be selling this place, so I can come back to retire or if I just don't dig California. Plus, the place in California comes with employees. Employees. Like, people to do some of the work. That is just rad.
