Only candidate to support full repeal of DOMA

We're done. You lose. Thank you for playing...

That's great and all, but how does that establish that anyone is voting based on that issue. He's also taller than her. I submit gays are more likely to vote for the taller candidate.

You didn't prove me wrong! I win! Horay.

Christ, you're stupid. I wonder not for the first time who in your life this ludicrous ******** actually works on? Hookers maybe?

Barack Obama appeals to those most in favor of full gay marriage.

That was the statement I made. I think I've provided more then adequate support for that statement.

And the rest of us, with a fairly unified response, replied with "correlation is not causation" because we remember freshman year.

Huh? What does this have to do with that?

Are you arguing that those who "are most in favor of full gay marriage" don't care about the Defense of Marriage Act? It's only the biggest thing standing between them and their goal.

Obama is the only candidate who supports a full repeal of that act.

So. If the issue of gay marriage matters to you, and you have a presumed choice between Clinton, Obama, or McCain, which one will you support?

Obviously, I can't get every single gay person in the country to come here and post first hand which candidate they support, but I think it's pretty darn obvious that if your biggest issue is gay marriage, you're going to most support the candidate who's platform most pushes that agenda in the direction you want.

Why are you guys arguing this?

You're the only one in the world who does, but I imagine that you're used to that position at this point.

Let's rephrase your "point", shall we?

"Obama has the more aggressive rhetoric regarding repealing DOMA."

See, that statement would have the virtue of actually being true, as opposed to being a wild leap to an unfounded conclusion based upon nothing.

Well if i was gay, and my choices were Hilary, McCain or Obama. I'd agree that Obama was the most appealing. After all Clintons a chick (sort of) and McCain is a wrinkly old fart. Obama, on the other hand, has a fairly tight butt and a nice smile.

I didn't read the whole thread tho, and if its all about politics and not who would be the best shag at a gay orgy, please carry on.......

Which is why you and yours will vote for McCain. Hell, the right got Bush re-elected almost entirerly on the "If Kerry's elected **** will be able to get married and rape you and your children" issue. Most of us on the other side are just, ya know, past the point of realizing equal civil rights for all is a good thing.

Obama also appeals to those of us in the middle class. It's nice to see someone who's worked his way up to a position of power, as opposed to be born into a political family or being the girl who used to bang the President, and is running a campaign of honor and merit again.

Hell, I even remember 2000 when that was McCain.

Correlation is not causation = most people supporting Obama don't know what he thinks about the DOMA, or how it differs from Clinton. This includes teh gays. Most supporters just think he's cooler.

Here's a tip. Anytime you start to type "obviously", realize that everything that follows it is essentially guaranteed to be baseless and easily refuted.

If it'll make you happy though, sure, assuming your imaginary straw stuffed voter who cares only about Gay Marriage and no other issues, and beyond that cares only about the repeal of DOMA as the single issue in regards to gay marriage, yes, that imaginary person who doesn't exist would vote for Obama.

Shaft probably would too, also Chef from South Park.

And most of Mississippi! (54% to 44% right now with 40% reporting)

Oh, and CNN says that, despite losing the Texas primary, Obama won the Texas delegate fight and will take more from the state than Clinton will. Still calculating caucus results (only at 41%) but right now it's Clinton with 94 Texas delegates to Obama's 99.

That's not important, though, only the popular vote matters and only in states that aren't guaranteed to vote for the Democrats in November or impossible for them to win in November, or ones that are full of darkies because they'll vote no matter who it is, or states that aren't full of 55 year old catholic union seamstress....

No. The vast majority of the gay population actually supports Hillary over him. It's been well documented, reported ad nauseam, and is pretty much considered to be common knowledge among those in the community. On a positive note, at least I don't suspect you're a closet homosexual anymore.
