Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign failed to file a full slate of convention delegate candidates for Pennsylvania's April 22 primary.

This despite the possibility the primary proves critical and despite Clinton owning the full-throated support of Gov. Rendell, state Democratic Party leadership, Mayor Nutter and, presumably, the organizational skill all that entails.

And despite a Rendell-ordered extension of the filing deadline that could be viewed as more than just coincidental.

"There are a number of Clinton delegates that did not file for reasons of illness or other issues," Democratic state chairman T.J. Rooney conceded yesterday after being questioned by the Daily News.

He initially said he was unaware of the fact, but confirmed it after checking with Clinton's state delegate petition organizer.
I wrote a lengthy post earlier in an OoT thread where I recounted how Clinton's campaign is seemingly run by a barrel of monkeys who have managed to take what should have been a well-oiled and powerful political machine and run it into the ground via mismanagement, mis-spending and poor planning until it's limping to the finish line. Still, given that Clinton's entire campaign currently rests on delegate victories in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania, don't you think someone might... you know... file to have the fucking delegates on the ballot?

I smell a conspiracy! Or perhaps a weird, backwards concession? Either way, some kind of tomfoolery is afoot.

She's been too busy crafting cleverly concealed racial remarks regarding her opponents to bother filling out pesky paperwork.

Seriously. Someone should have written "FILE FOR DELEGATES ON BALLOT" onto a Post-It and staple-gunned that ******* onto someone's forehead.

Wait. Did anyone check Patti solis Doyle's forehead before she left the campaign? Maybe this was her job.

The Article Also wrote:
But Clinton's faux pas is more of an image problem than a practical one.

Under Democratic Party rules (and does any organization on the planet have more rules or more complex rules?) a presidential candidate winning in a congressional district gets delegates from that district (assigned at a later date) whether he or she files slates delegates or not.

While this does show incompetance within Clinton's campaign, as long as she wins the districts she'll get the delegates regardless of whether she filed or not.

It looks like in this case, unlike Florida, the Democratic Party rules still benifit her.

Which I was agreeing with. I thought it mattered though, reading your post. However, the article said otherwise.

Irrelevant, Obama will have dropped out long before PA.

When Clinton wins a broad victory in Wisconsin today his money will falter, and they'll unleash the oppres they've been holding back just in time to trounce him on May 4th. The problem with running against Alan Keys is that he's never had to face an actual campaign, before. Maybe he can call up Deval and see if he's free for a golf trip in April. He won't be doing anything by then.

Yes, but he didn't have you cheering him on. I think that's the salient point, here.

Why would she need a plan B? Any ludicrous spurious negative attack gets massive traction. He's done. Uppity ****** syndrome can't be overcome in US politics. "He's thinks he's better than you, but he steals. They all steal."

Game over.
