It is understood that govenments around the world are investigating a new method to try and stop people smoking, it's based on a revolutionary German method.

If anybody ever did that while I was enjoying my cancer, I'd probably beat them with the empty extinguisher, and then call the cops.

What a waste of a cigarette.

I know how the guy feels.

I don't mind it that the wife keeps smoking, but I get kinda pissed when she feels the need to smoke a whole pack in one sitting, in my damn office, while I am trying to work.

Why worry about impacting others when you can just think about yourself.

I just don't get the whole smoking thing. Yeah, I'll enjoy a cigar while golfing, but it's more of a guy thing, you know, drinking whiskey, smoking stogies, swinging a Callaway with your buddies activity. But the addiction, I-won't-give-up-my-cigarettes thing just baffles me.

Why would the Germans want to get on their knees and purse their lips?

A Frenchman would have used a bottle of champagne.

I have an inkling that you've never gotten over a few cigs a day, if you were ever a "regular" smoker.

Quitting is probably the hardest thing in the world to do, next to giving birth.

I bet people passing Kidney stones would argue with you.

I dunno, I smoke, but I actually enjoy it. I'm not in the least interested in quitting. 11 years later and I still enjoy it.

Leaving a fire extinguisher empty is a horrible risk. If my woman was disrespecting me like that, I would have hit her with the FULL canister.

think Im the minority smoker here, but if I were him and a nonsmoker I would have done the same damn thing... if i were drunk to boot.

As a smoker I would much rather smoke outside then indoors. And I'd never smoke inside if others were around who weren't ok with it.

His house, his rules. He asked her to stop, she didn't. I see no issues here

I just saw a lady yesterday whose lungs are full of nodules, perhaps cancerous. She's in her early 60s, never smoked a day in her life, but mother to four adult smokers and married to one, as well.

That shit is just tragic.

So god is punishing her because she doesn't know how to pick a decent mate and can't parent worth a damn?

No one has any control over anyone else, when you get right down to it. It's tragic that she took care of herself and chose not to smoke, and is going to die due to their choice. One of many such minor tragedies, I'm sure, but still.

He really showed her. He covered his own flat with this foam that the article describes as "hellish to clean up".

I would have done the same.

<--- allergic to cigs

I can't even walk into my office without breathing the stuff from the people that think the smoking pavilion is too far to walk to (it's 10 feet away from the front door AND there's another exit that leads directly to it.) I have to politely ask people not to smoke around me, and if they still do it, I have to impolitely ask them.

I shall remember the fire extinguisher trick!
