A bunch of friends went to a Restaurant recently and were slightly surprised to see the bill. I thought they were joking until I saw this:

Restaurant sorry over F word bill

A restaurant owner has apologised after diners had their very own F word experience - without Gordon Ramsay.

Ten friends found the abusive and sexually-explicit message on their bill at Joe Delucci's Italian restaurant in Bird Street, Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Diner Clare Watkin said she thought it was written after they complained about poor service.

The party from Walsall had gone to the restaurant on Friday. Owner Nigel Langsdon has begun an investigation.

Yeah, that's nice. That's not going to win you a lot of support from the dining public, Mr Langsdon.

Smiley: lol I used to do this when I was running a restaurant, except I knew the system well enough to make sure it never printed anywhere other than the kitchen. I also deleted it as soon as I finished fucking around.

£28 each? Thats not bad, I'd go again, at least i know the Staff have a sence of humour, even if the clients don't.

Just allow plenty of time. Getting served at 10:15 when the reservation was for 8:00 would not make me a happy diner.

Unless some drinks were comped. Then I'd probably be VERY happy.

They should be glad they weren't across the pond, they would have got their ***** sued off in America.

Possibly. We're not all litigious, but enough are to make it a distinct possibility.

A bar by me got it trouble for writing in Jew Couple for a table number. Basically they don't number the high top tables so they sometimes describe the folks seated at the table, Man with a red Hat or Italian Couple, etc etc. The two Jewish people left their plush beach front mansion to dine with the peasants and the bartender noted the check with Jew Couple so the runners knew where to deliver the food. She gave them the wrong check at the end of the night.

The New York times (or the Post) actually ran a story on it.

I appreciate it's not just a British thing.

Here's what happens when you order a Bacardi Breezer in Australia:
