I've been hooked on getting a new graphic novel every Wednesday and for the past month or so, I've been really into Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. It's pretty damn cool.

Hear it might even be a movie trilogy soon.

The Dragonlance movie was a masterpiece of art and voice-acting. You should go rent it right now.

The most awesome thing I've read recently:

http://www.aip.org/pnu/2008/split/852-2.html

***** viruses. ***** them right up their little quivering capsids.

Oh, and I download music from thefump.com. However, some sifting is needed. Of the songs on the main page at the moment, unhackable and Makin' Love Like a Geek strike me as amusing.

I am more easily amused then Clinton.

OK this is actually awesome: The Brief Wonderful Life of Oscar Wao.

I learned about evil and The Curse and a bit about what college life at Rutgers is like. The main character would be so familiar to this form, such a nerd. And the author teaches creative writing at MIT.

I recommend DMZ by Brian Wood. It's kind of a lateral move from Y now that the series is over. In some ways, I enjoy it a lot more than Y.

You can download and read the first issue of the comic via the link I provided above.

I will look for Vellum the next time I am in a book store, which will be soon.

DBZ has never been my thing, though to be fair I have never given it a chance. I am looking for a decent anime/manga. I downloaded the first season of Bleach and was unimpressed to say the least.

The Dragonlance movie has been calling me, though I already know it will be ***. It is just sitting there tempting me to waste 5 bucks.

When it comes to music I am **** and listen to everything and since I listen to 8 hours of music a day as I slave away for my corporate master I need more more more.

The Wire I will download and check out.

Websites to waste time on are also appreciated.

I "reviewed" it in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi forum.

But don't read that. Just trust me that it's awesome and will rock your world.

Really? I saw part of it and gave up on it because the level of suck was rising above the level required to make me vomit in my own pocket. This is one of the very few times I would ever say 'the book was better' mostly because I don't really like to read anything besides Peanuts and Hagar the Horrible, if not the only time. I've read like 30+ books in the series and what I saw of the movie really didn't live up to my expectations. Honestly I didn't even know they had made a movie until I ran across it on this site that was showing perfectly legal copies of movies for research purposes only.
