In order to jump start my dormant gaming addiction, I'm currently patching and will once again find myself in Azeroth...yes, I'm taking extreme measures - maybe WoW will be the Viagra for my gaming burnout.

That's not to say I haven't given completely up on EQ2, but I just want to revisit some of my old WoW stomping grounds and see what's what.

Hell, maybe I'll start up a new guild with the two tankards icon Smiley: sly...nah, just kidding! Smiley: grin

Anyhoo, where is everyone playing now?

EQ2 mostly. Hey, we could start an EQ2 guild, call it "Shards of stars" or "Followers of Chaos" and then implode it on a timer. First guildleader to take down the entire server when their guild implodes wins!

EQ2 for me. I just finished the soloable part for the Epics that just came out yesterday as far as anyone knows right now. Working on tier 2 for the new raid zones, almost have that complete. Other than that bantering back and forth with Johnny and Tare, and a couple friends I have from NC.

You really are masochists aren't you!

I haven't played an RPG in months. I'm all about Battlefield 2: Project Reality now.

Yeah I'm still very much keeping my EQ2 account going and I will get back in there - I guess I wish more of us were playing there (or at least on the same server). Seeing Neph's post a while back about being in WoW again and seeing the response of who was still playing there (on different servers) have me interested in jumping in there again for a bit. I never did get an uber Ram mount for my Dwarf, so it might be a fun goal. The flying mounts sound spiffy, too.

That's too funny true or not true. I thought everyone hated PotBS. I haven't tried it - I'll try to find some in-game footage on YouTube or something. It's Gnome Pirates for me or nothing - EQ2 wins (Gnome Swashbuckler FTW!).

Cool Nad, I might start up an Undead over there to hook up with ya.

I've been checking out some YouTube footage of some games and Pirates looks ok but I'm not really grabbed by it. Age of Conan is looking pretty good. Warhammer Online has some interesting stuff and is still the game I'm most looking forward to. Check out this footage as a Witch Hunter - it's zoomed way out, but it gives you a feel for the world but what most got me into it was the mood music. Almost reminds me of Diablo with it's creepy, eerie goodness. Check out also this character creation footage of different classes - I'm very stoked for this game.

In the meantime, a little bit of EQ2, a little bit of WoW, a little bit of LOTRO, and some X-Box gaming should keep me distracted until AoC and WO come out.

There's an OOT WOW guild (all Allakhazmaers and anyone else welcome) on the Crushridge server (normal PvP server, USA time.)

It's called Untouchable sage, and is Hordeside. There's lots of people to ask for invites: Kunio, Notnix, Elynna, Smasharoo, Notari, Ubalu, SWM, Gutler, Odod, among others. All those players are regular Alla posters.

Just to be confusing Smasharoo is Barkingturtle, Maaia is Ugleysasquatch (Oot in-joke there, Maaia was responsible for Ugly's 10k title) but Mindel really is Mindel.

Crushridge was chosen for having a 50-50 Horde and Alliance split. If you are having problems being ganked, just tell the guild and we'll come clear the path for you.

Yup, EQ2 here. I haven't started my epic weapon yet but I did start the crafter epic and switched to a new deity this week. Busy game times, but I see a little break on the horizon.

That soloable part ended for me with just handing over the two books in the Fens. Figthing those four lvl 83 heroics at the same time was too much for me alone.

Well, at least EQII's chat got very crowded for a while, seems to have died down a bit now though.

You do not have to kill all of them, Z. Just kill the one named dude and you can talk to the girl again. Use everything you got, including potions and it's pretty easy.

There is one more part you can solo before you get into the heroics, which is what I finished last night. You need to head to Skyfire and hail Flink the Impish at -907, 244, 766 and he tells you to go get hearts. You need to then kill drakes/wurms/wyverns for draconic hearts. It's an uncommon drop and you need 57 of them. I was getting one about every 6 kills. Bring the hearts back to Flink and place them on a set of scales near him. A doppleganger of you lvl 83^ will appear and you have to kill it. Then click the scales again to get the blade.

Ok, lol, didn't know that. I figured I had to kill them all, so focused on the arrow down heroics first.

Still not an easy fight, but if I throw in a miracle, I should be able to kill him.

Thanks for the tip!

We could bring this to the EQ2 forums, but since the topic is started here, Im not going to create another one =)

What diety are you with? I use Bristlebane and he's got a couple of fantastic miracles and blessings I actually use now. Prior, I never bothered, but these make a difference.

Yeah, I wish I hadn't made the same mistake. Thanks for reminding me.Smiley: mad It is fun to play with the Untouchable Sage Guild, though.

I've been with Marr since the beginning, heck, since EQI actually. I'm quite loyal that way.

The last line miracles are very good, a personal barrier (ten attacks partially stopped I believe, or a heck of a lot of damage in total) and a barrier for a group member.

The valiant beast has a very nice strength boost, definitely worth it.

What does bristlebane have? Never really checked him out.

Decided to work on a few toons in WoW:

I'm going to hang out on Blackwater Raiders with Nadenu on the Horde side as my new Tauren Warrior, Roam. Moo.

For the Alliance side, I've put in a character transfer to move my lev 25 Dwarf Paladin, Snorre and my level 60 Warrior, Haemish (formerly known as Wonk...had to change name), to Steamwheedle Cartel RP server where Nad has a toon, along with Wint and Samira.

I appreciate the invites to the PvP servers, but I'm just not into PvP in WoW - I'll probably get into PvP when I play Warhammer Online.
