I just watched the Atlantis shuttle launch from my in-laws front yard. I'd seen one before from just outside Kennedy Space Center. This one wasn't quite as dramatic as we're about forty miles away, but was cool to see none-the-less.

I've always wanted to see a launch live. I guess I'll have to make do with model rockets for now. What are they doing in space these days anyway? I've sort of stopped paying attention and lost touch.

Watching from the west, south, or north? I used to live in eastern Seminole County and one of the few things I really miss are watching launches.
