Sometimes I really wonder how much Joy you all get kicking someone when they are down? Like a pack of dogs around a ***** in heat you run around yipping and howling. We all have issues and try to seek help/others to talk about it. Granted the OOT or any forum is not an idea place to dump your life. After all most of you'all can sit and be smug that you can sling the crap and kick away with no reprecussions. (Yea Internet) I often wonder if the E-peen contest is ever over here. Mods, Admin, the forum members can better handle situations like this. Why not lock/delete them faster? Or is it such fun to drag it on more?
Sometimes I wonder and feel ashamed at what happens here.
I have sympathy for Melody since she is obviously dealing with some serious emotional and mental issues. That doesn't excuse her behavior in the least, though while she was just being an attention ***** I was content to ignore her.

When her behavior escalated, though, I held my tongue as long as I could. No one forced her to come and post on this forum, and certainly no one told her to spill her crazy all over it. I don't feel bad about insulting her. Not in the least. She made herself unwelcome, has publicly said goodbye at least twice now, and still she keeps coming back. I guess the big mean forum people aren't as bad as they seem? At least I'm insulting her in the open where she can see and respond as she pleases.

If this is how she acts on an internet forum on an online multiplayer gaming site, think how she must be around the people in her real life. She says her husband is "distant," no small wonder that, if it were not for the two road bumps they made, he would probably be a thousand miles away distant.

Mindels mind, a svelt size 1.

Technically, if you look at the situation from all angles, you could say she is discussing all three.

What size would that make her...?
If discussing someone elses imperfections can make her feel better about herself, well that's all that matters, right.

I'm just sad to see this forum for 'deep' discourse become so very shallow.

Edit - I'm hoping its a just one of them passing fads. Smiley: grin

Don't blame Mindel for it. We've had the Asylum thrust upon us.

I think that the confusion lies in thinking that a move from the OOT to the Asylum is from childish to viscious.

Yes, discussing Melody's imperfections does make me feel like a box of rainbows. I can look at myself by contrast and take great pleasure in the fact that I've never made a suicide threat on an Internet forum, stalked someone and bothered them at home, or exposed my family members' medical history on Allakhazoo.

Also, I've never sent a strange man photos of my engorged ****** stuffed like a Christmas good with a bright pink *****.

God damn, I am just fucking awesome.

Again, Tailmon, you inflict upon everyone your special brand of idiot-speak while all the while demonstrating a total lack of understanding concerning The Melody Situation. Just shut the fUck up.

Many of us have tried to help Melody, but it's never enough. She needs medication. I think she may have some undiagnosed or misdiagnosed brain illnesses. Her ups and downs are ridiculous; her manic phases are frightening, and her depressed times are just pathetic. If you'd pay attention you might be able to predict when she's going to have one of these episodes.

For me it's really easy to tell when she's about to spaz out, because she calls my house. I think I said my name once, my full name, in a Skype call with a number of people, and she tracked down my number. I didn't so much mind that, but I asked her to not call me without giving me some warning via the PM system here. She's literally never respected that request, seeing how every time she's called me it's been in one of her panicked, ranting states. Oh, except that one time when she wanted us all to believe she'd tried to kill herself and I ended up calling the police in her town to report it.

It's not as if some of us haven't really tried with her.

And it's not like I've been really mean anywhere outside this message board. I mean, I have pictures of her, her phone number, her address; I could make a pretty interesting craigslist advertisement, at the very least.

In closing, I imagine she's really happy to have the support of the barely literate tranny trailer trash dude who posts on these boards. No, I'm not talking about Katie, I'm talking about you, Tailmon.

BT the answer is no! I wont shut up. This whole thread is is a travisty and I'll add a limit of 5 on your hand rails. I'd rather this whole thing vanished and we just forget Melody. Did I give you crap about your dead pets? This is a open no holds barred forum so>> Shut the @#%^ up!

Sometimes just forgetting and ignoring is better than being a total ***.

It's hard to forget someone when they're posting in the forum they flounced out of not one week earlier. Smiley: rolleyes

No one was bothering Melody while she was having her little best friends' tea party in her journal. Then, out of (as best as I can tell) no where, this.

Melody is a human being, not an ant. Ants don't understand things like "go the fuck away."

I also learned to ignore people before kindergarten. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Nexa

It's one thing to frustrate people on the boards. It's entirely another to have someone bypass the boards, contact people through other means and then seem upset when people set limits. Sooner or later, people are going to get really mad about that and really set harsh limits since everything else has been unsuccessful. There have been some major boundary violations in this whole thing and something that has more than occupied the time and energy of people even when the don't want to look at the board. She has persistently ignored limit setting by other members.

I won't pretend to know what you're talking about, but something in me is asking how one person is capable of "occupying the time and energy of people" without their permission to do so. If someone PM'd me, I could ignore it, if someone messaged me, I could ignore or block it, if someone called me, I guess I'd be asking myself why I'm not more to blame for giving out enough personal information to be called. I appreciate the fact that you and others may be frustrated, but you seem to be of the mind that you're entirely blameless. You think she is attention seeking, so you give her attention and then you're surprised that she continues to seek you out. /boggle

If people don't want to be contacted by someone, perhaps creating entire threads about them, their family, etc, shouldn't be created on a public message board, eh?
