Anyone trying it out? Anyone been using it? Sick mentioned it to me today and that they download sites faster than others such as firefox. I've always been a big FF user, but thought I'd try it out. There's a couple quirks Im getting used to, but I have noticed the download of websites are a hell of a lot faster.

I hate Safari. I use Mac at work and I installed Firefox. My experience has been the exact opposite - I find it slower.

weird. I'm still trying to get used to it, and there are times when I do things I normally would on FF that it doesnt recognize it on Safari... but overall I'm definitely zooming around the net faster. It makes me feel as if I should type even faster than I already do... possibly not a good thing Smiley: sly

From a site design standpoint, Safari sucks. It adds a few pixels here and there and throws layout all off.

I added FF to my mac the day I got it.

Same here. At first, there was one site that I needed for work that didn't work right in FF. I had to use Safari for that one site. Thankfully, it wasn't long before the site started working in FF too.

I'm also a mac user, used safari for a couple years. This site started getting bogged down by ads so i DLd FF and the plugins, and everything runs much much faster. I haven't opened safari since.

FF/Noscript is where it's at for speed and security. Not to mention lowest annoyance factor. Safari wull render marginally faster on a lot of sites, but not nearly enough so to warrant leaving the huge amount of flexibility that mature FF plugins give you.

You probably just need to adjust your settings in Safari so it doesn't block all your ****.
