One of the highlights of my seven plus years here: My very own boyfriend logs on to IRC, I declare that I don't believe it's him, and Kao kicks him off. He had to call me.

I used to have it installed, but not on the laptop. Any web-based program? Refresher, anyone?

At one point, IRC was the in thing. Then Skype came along and fucked it all up.

If running firefox, you can just get Chatzilla

Or if you want a really crappy interface, you can go to www.onlinegamingradio.com (one of the other ZAM network sites), click on the "Chat with us" link, then type in "/join #asylum" to get to the Asylum channel.

I was on IRC briefly last night. Don't really remember much of it, as I was practically unconcious at the time.

I do remember relaying hellos from Mindel and Belkira to Nexa.

Meh. Tried Chatzilla, can't reconcile it to the Trillian interface.

In all honesty, I'd actually log into IRC if I knew more people would be there on a semi-regular basis. While Danalog, and DF are interesting people, they are AFK there a lot.

I mean, I can have great conversations with myself, but it makes me feel crazy.

Likewise with me (at least on the "AFK there a lot") because I have a tendency to leave it running at all times, despite being at work or asleep about 80% of the day.

Like this?

Smiley: confused

Edit: Pidgin has remarkably simple and wonderful IRC support, for anyone looking for a new IRC client.
