If ever there was a gathering of useless members of society, its at a NASCAR event. The simplest minds engrossed in the simplest of American "Sports."

I don't want to hear, oh thats just a stereotype, not all NASCAR fans are hicks, I'm a NASCAR fan! No, its not a stereotype, its the fucking truth. Now take your lower class, uneducated ***, gather up some of your racin' brethren and drive your pick up trucks off a fucking cliff. Be sure to attach your already tainted, soon to be slack-jawed children to the bumper.

Your days are numbered you hick squirrel eating, sister fuckin' cunts.

Nascar's one redeeming factor.

She attends quite a few of the races, as she is/was married to one of the drivers. The cameramen like to show her a lot.

lots of Ashley Judd = good times in pants.

To make the "sport" more in line with its fans, all future races shall require the drivers be intoxicated before driving: .18 or better. The races will now be exciting again, pit stops will have all new meaning and drivers named bubba will move to the top of the rankings.

Firing a shot gun out the window on each lap earns you bonus points.

You guys make it sound like the hicks watch this.

They don't. The hicks stopped watching after Dale sr. died because it doesn't appeal to them anymore. Only rich little ******* watch it now, expecting their driver to win. When a sport is down to 3 cars guaranteed to win, it becomes just plain stupid to watch.

I only watch Daytona, and Talladega from start to finish now. I just do house work any other weekend it seems, unless I am bored. When there's no muscle car shows, nascar is on.

Wrestling doesn't bother me as much as NASCAR but why do you hate the World Wildlife Foundation?

Hehehe this made me lol.
I think they actually pay the hot chicks with barely any clothes to be there so the dudes in the cars have another reason to circle back around.
And the only reason they crash is due to the fact that they've been driving for over an hour and seen the same scenery 30 times.
NASCAR is a merry-go-round on steroids.

Don't forget NHRA.

You can take any sport and simplify it to make it sound dumb. However, sports, have been around for many thousands of years. So obviously, the human psyche finds them appealing even if they aren't the athletes themselves.

Football- 22 guys going back and forth on a field. Boring.
Baseball- A guy hits a ball and a group of other guys try to get it before he hits all bases.
Hockey- A group of guys going back and forth on ice.
Golf- Hitting a ball into a hole, how hard is that?
Bowling- It can't be that hard to knock over a bunch of pins.

Now these are clearly not my views, I don't even like watching professional racing TBH (Well okay, the professional NHRA dragsters are a lot of fun). At the same time I can understand why some people like it. Each car in NASCAR is more or less the same, so it becomes a competition of the drivers and pit-crews, and having a favorite driver is the same as having a favorite football team. When your favorite football team is down 3 points, are close to the goal line, and there is 3 seconds on the clock left in the game, does the coach tie it, or try for the win?

It's fun, it's harmless, and it's entertainment. To me, without these sports, including NASCAR, life would be incredibly dull.

I don't remember how old I was when Earnhardt died, maybe 16-17ish, anyways..

I decided to go to church the following Sunday and the youth group I attended was led by this lady that was apparently a rather large Earnhardt fan. She broke down, as in fell to her knees broke down, in the middle of a prayer and sobbed uncontrollably for a good 10 minutes. Her husband didn't bother to do anything until she had made her way into the fetal position.

She had never met Dale Earnhardt.

It was, ummm... awkward... to say the least.

I never went back to youth group.

I watched racing when I was a little kid. It was neat watching the cars zoom around. Then I didn't watch again for years and years.

One Saturday I was hanging out on the couch, hungover, and flipping through the channels. I landed on a race. I watched it for maybe half a minute before Dale Earnhardt hit the wall. Then I changed the channel.

Later that day, I was watching Sportscenter and I saw that he had died. I had turned on a race for the first time in over a decade, watched it only momentarily and the biggest figure in the sport died right before my eyes.

I don't watch NASCAR or any racing any more, for their own good.
