While I'm thrilled to see a woman as a serious contender for president, I'm really hoping Hillary does not get the nomination. She's just too divisive. As desperately, painfully, all-consumingly as I loathe Dubya, there are people out there who despise Hillary just as much, and I just can't stand another 4-8 years of a country that polarized. Obama is really more of a stuffed shirt than I care for, but he doesn't have the polarizing effect of Hillary, so that's really where my hopes are pinned for now.

Wacky, Elinda? Are you saying the Hellbeast would make a better president than her husband? If not, then voting for her is settling for less, particularly since there would ostensibly be so many other possible candidates who could match Bill's achievements as president.
I guess I've not really considered her political prowness relative to her husbands. Nor, did I ever really 'compare' George W to George Sr. when making conclusions about how well he served the country (at least not consciously).

Certainly many politicians make the the cut because of family ties, but I try to make decisions about them based on their own merit. I kinda assumed others did to.

Speaking of family politics; Kathleen Sebelius (Gov of Kansas) has seemed to be in the spotlight much as of late. She's the daughter of former Iowa Gov. Gilligan (D), and daughter-in-law of former US Rep. Sebilius (R). Supposedly she carries a phenomanal 70% approval rating as a democratic Governor in a red state. Perhaps a running mate to Obama?

In her Democratic Party Response the SoTU address, I was impressed with her delivery, but a little shocked at how botoxed her face is. The few times she allowed a small smile, there was no discernable effect above her upper lip. Vanity, vanity, politician, thy name is Vanity.

Honestly I don't think anyone would even be looking at Hillary if she wasn't with Bill. Just goes to show that if you sleep with the right person, you could become president.
