I just thought that you'd like to know that, while you both got up and dealt with the ridiculously low temperatures to get to work, I just woke up, and I'm comfortably sitting in my house, in my PJs, with a nice hot cup of coffee, and I don't even have to leave the house today.

Smiley: grin

47 degrees with scattered rain today. But I'm sure it's going to warm up a bit and the sun will make an appearance, however briefly it may be.

Seriously? Marilyn Manson? I didn't realize he was even relevant enough for people to pay good money to see him any longer. I'd think Ashlee Simpson or Madonna would have a greater cachet than MM.

Huh. Are parachute pants, Members Only jackets, and cell phones the size of cinder blocks still in vogue where you live, Kelvy?

Ozzy still draws a crowd.

I'm heading to 'the county' this weekend (the northern most part of Maine). Temps have been hovering around -10f. to -20f. It reminds me of home. Smiley: grin

Hope you feel better for your concert, Kelv.

(Kelvy's avatar often persuades me to go get a fresh cup of coffee.)

I figured I should see them before Britney Spears takes his place.. I don't think they are that bad musically.. good performance from what I've seen..
My room mate drags be to these things. He still has Korn posters on the living room wall. He's like 34Smiley: grin

really I'm mostly in it for the pre- and after-party.

I am so glad my parents moved away from Chicago when I was 14 months old. I spent one year in North Chicago back when I was a navy wife and that was one long winter.

Kevly, MM? My kids grew out of listening to him years ago. Ever go to the Orpheus? I used to go on nights that Steve Archer of ego likness would DJ. My middle daughter was there 2 weeks ago and say some of the folks I used to know still attend on goth nights. If i could stay up pass 11pm, I would think of going when Steve and Donna are preforming. If Cruxshadow or Voltaire are also book, even better. I have ego likeness's agent Sepiatone Booking myspace site, loaded as I read this thread for the music.

If you think MM is irrelevant, i'm seriously considering picking up tickets for the joint "headlining" Def Leppard / whitesnake gig later this year.

A consert missing both arms and hips from various band members.

I saw Manson at Ozzfest '01. There was a large group of protesters outside the venue from Colorado. Fans threw beer at them. We all laughed.

Honestly though, he puts on a good show. There was a song where he came out using stilts on his arms and legs, like some giant, emo, 4-legged spider. His music is fairly simple, but a lot of the old stuff is pretty decent.
