I can't complain, really. I'm happily married, my homelife is bliss, my child is a saint and a genius, my *** is amazing, my hair is bouncy and full, and my job is steady and pays well.

The thing is, it's colder than morally permissible.

Brutally cold air arrives on strong NW winds tonight. Clouding over, flurries/light snow mid/late afternoon Snowy for a time Wednesday night up to 1 inch. Heavier lake snow Indiana/SW Michigan snowbelt. Wind chills: -20 degrees before morning

I am actually considering a THIRD LAYER OF LONGJOHNS. This isn't the life I want to live!!! This isn't sexy!
I am about to set fire to Joph's side of the bed not only to keep warm, but to make a personal statement.

I thought brown people absorbed sunlight. Like a plant or something.

You've been in Chi-town, what, 2 years or so? Haven't gotten use to it yet?

Don't you folks have a furnace? Or a fireplace? Or bourbon?

It got down to twenty here last night. I was getting the dogs water this morning, and their buckets had frozen into solid blocks. Needless to say, I spent part of my day making a rather amateurish igloo.

I forgot, do you take the el to work? Nothing like trying to huddle under one of those crappy heat lamps.

I'm jealous. I want to make an igloo. It's one of the things I plan to do when we go to Alaska.

We used to huddle around my old CRT monitor for warmth but then I got a LCD screen so we're fucked.

There's a reason I don't live in Michigan anymore. I got sick of freezing my tits off every year.

Took me almost 2 hours to drive back from De Kalb today. Most of that time was spent twiddling my thumbs on Ogden. Smiley: mad

At least you're not playing football. In short sleeves. Without gloves.

I'll never call Eli "Manchild" again.

Not only was I raised in "La Cuidad de la Eterna Primavera" (City of Eternal Spring), but honestly it's getting to be goddamn depressing. My mom sent me a mini-stepper and I'll do that next to my space heater in my room now, because I can't stand being anywhere in the house that doesn't have a space heater and before I would just get into bed to stay warm and end up falling asleep at 9pm.

Now I can stay up to at least 10:30.

Oh and Barkingturtle, it's 20 below with wind chill here, you puss. 20 degrees is short-sleeve weather to me now.

La Cuidad de la Eterna Primavera, eh, Flea? I hope for Jo's sake you never go visit lest he be kidnapped and held in the jungles for 5 years waiting for you to divert some of that money you're spending on heating bills on his ransom. I just recently read that some lady was finally released by the guerillas after a half decade of confinement. When she stepped out of the treeline, she kissed her captors fondly goodbye. I guess that makes it a new twist on Stockholm Syndrome-- Medellin Syndrome.

Arnold from the Simpsons. You know, the big bully who points his finger at someone in schadenfreude and says in a sing-songy voice, "HA-HA!" That Arnold. Not the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgWX6qjzw_c"Get to the chopper!" Arnold.

Kao, can you fix this? All I want is to press the stupid button, insert the URL in the little box, and put it on the page. I shouldn't need a flippin' programming degree to figure this out. Overly complicated for my old brain.
