Saturday
G1: Washington @ Seattle
Washington's been on a hot streak ever since Sean Taylor's funeral. However, they're travelling to Seattle who's got a pretty solid defense (12th against the run & 4th most sacks in the league. So-so against the pass). While I'm a big fan of Clinton Portis, unless he has an awesome game I don't see Washington taking this one. 28-17 Seattle.
G2: Jacksonville @ Pittsburgh
The Jags beat the Steelers IN Pittsburgh in December. This time, they have to do it again but Pittsburgh is down RB Willie Parker, defensive end Aaron Smith, offensive tackles Marvel Smith and Max Starks and safety Ryan Clark. And if there's further injuries in the game, the Steelers are pretty much screwed as their depth chart reads: left tackle Trai Essex, then no one. Fullback Carey Davis, then no one. & @ right tackle, there's Willie Colon, then no one.
The Jags have the running tandom of Fred Taylor & Maurice Jones-Drew and a QB in David Garrard who just doesn't turn the ball over. I'm taking the Jags 28-10.
However, as a Pats fan it should be noted that I;d much rather the Steelers win this game. I think the Pats have a much better chance against the Steelers and will be quite nervous if we have to plays the Jags in the playoffs.
Sunday
G1: Giants @ Bucs
The Jersey Giants played their best game of the season last week (even though they lost) and are riding that ego boost into Tamba Bay. However, Tamba's defence is great against the pass and Eli seems to throw INTs at the worst times. However, if the Giants play like they did last week, it could be a very close game. I'll take the Bucs 21-10.
G2: Titans @ San Diego
The Titans played a close game against San Diego earlier this season. However, Titans QB Vince Young is a game time decision. I like the Titans D, but LT makes even good defences often look silly. If Vince Young plays, it could be close again. However, if he doesn't, the Titans don't have a chance. Either way, I'm taking San Diego. 37-28 with Vinny playing, if he doesn't 42-10 Chargers.
