So, what have you juice tigers got planned for tonight? Any serious rockin' I need to know about?

Because I am old and I have a baby that wakes up before dawn (4:30 this morning Smiley: mad) I'll likely not be awake to toast the new year. But I plan on drinking some vino, playing a bit of EQ2 and watching a hockey game before bed. What a start to a new year! Go me!

Think it's going to be a boring new years this year. Think I'll do some gaming, maybe mix some SoCo and Pepsi. Then go to sleep long before the ball drops.

The wife and I picked up a bunch of fancy cheeses, meats and appetizers yesterday. Going to pop some bottles of wine (for her) beer (for me) and enjoy them all to ourselves.

I got a bottle of white for Christmas that I hope to open (as long as I get a corkscrew in the next 12 hours). Will be playing all night, since I don't work tomorrow.

Sounds similar to my evening.

We never go out on News Years (but we're old).

Staying home also. I can't remember the last time I went out on New Year's, or even the last time I *wanted* to go out.

Probably hitting the New Year's Extravaganza in La Jolla early evening, then the Black Ball in the Gaslamp for the late night stuff. Then back to La Jolla for the after hours.

Another disappointing year. Next year promises to be much of the same.

I hate you all. I wish you were bagels.

I spent New Years Eve prepping stuff for the dinner I am hosting on New Years Day and trying to keep my teething baby contented.

I will now, however, probably be spending New Years Day in jail, because as soon as I'm done making this post, I'm going to hunt down whichever f'ucknuts neighbor it was who thought it was a good idea to set off fireworks and bang on pots and pans at midnight in a residential area and personally thank him for waking my very cranky baby right after I had just soothed him back to sleep.

Now this is a winning attitude. Sir, I salute you.

Rung in the new year with a few good friends at their house, conversation, wine and LOTS of snacks. These people are the most amazing hosts, and it's always a pleasure to visit them. They have two small kids that Jr. played with, plus the sweetest black lab puppy. It was very laid-back and perfect, because they even had sparkling grape juice so Jr. could stay up and toast with us. It was snowing raindeers and badgers out here, so the drive home was interesting. I personally never went out for the New Year before I met Joph, but every time we do it seems to be good times.

Happy New Year! Smiley: boozing

Stayed home, watched some Futurama episodes on my DVD, fell asleep at 9pm. Then Dashiell woke me up at 11:50pm to his guard dog barking as the local yokels were setting off fireworks around here - hope to Bob some of them lose a finger, hand or limb. Smiley: motz

Hopped on the pc and was looking at homes that I may be interested in buying after I get my tax break on this one. Most likely not moving until July 2009, but unlike my two previous home purchases, I now have more than a few days to look for my next home.

Anyhoo, didn't get to bed until 4am, so I slept in this morning. Already took down the Christmas decorations and after my coffee, gonna take Dashiell and Snorre, Jr. for a good hour's walk. It's actually sunny here today.

I was supposed to go to a new years party, but the whole area iced over. Given that drunk people were going to be out in force with vehicles, I decided descretion was the better part of valor.

Probably a good decision. About 3 am the people up stairs who i have never seen before came home and apparrently started a game of tackle football in their appartment. They hit hard enough a few times that they cracked the paint where the wall and the ceiling meets. There is also a large dent in their exterior door this morning. Im pretty sure i heared some things going through drywall too, but i'm not going up there to check.

Fun times

Got to love it when Rednecks use their wife as a tackling dummy.
