Should be shot in the face immediately.

It's not 1997. Animated events on mouseover are just annoying and pointless. Please hire someone with some vague design experience instead of whoever it is you have now cobbling together packets of cut and pasted open source code then adding mindumbingly clumsy and pointless functions.

Thanks.

I don't see any mouseovers, nor do I see that option box.

Which stylesheet? I use the "News" one at work and the EQ one at home and both have it.

The mouseover is just a standard thread preview window.

I don't know how to tell if you qualify, but if I recall, it was implemented as a premium-only feature.

Yeah, thanks, I wasn't asking how to turn it off. It just looks like *** and adds no value. Maybe I'm not the target demographic, in fact I'm pretty certain I'm not, but shouldn't the idea be to code things that add value?

Do you not like the loading graphic (that we've had for well over a year) or the mouseovers themselves (that we've had for the same amount of time)?

I just finished rewriting a bunch of code so we could display them on any site (network or not). If you're seeing a loading type graphic on any link at all, hit shift refresh. You're one of the lucky few who for 5 minutes I hadn't changed a variable name to the correct one after making a modification.

Yeah, here's an idea. Test things before you move them into the production server. While that was indeed what prompted me to look at the code, the actual projectile vomiting didn't occur until I read it.

Folks in the feedback forum had nice things to say after they went live.

Well, hey, I guess that's why I don't get paid to consult on mmporg refrence site design. Still looks like sloppy thrown together useless **** to me.

If it's driven traffic or premium subscriptions, great.

That said, I also think there's a reason that google does better than yahoo.

Do you want some cheese with your wine?

It's a feature that has been asked for for a very long time. So far you're the only naysayer.

Yeah, I suspect that very likely makes me the only one to look at the code.

In all sincerity, you haven't ever worked coding professionaly before this, right?

Yeah, I'll take that as a "no" then.

Good luck at ITT tech.

Ya, it's pretty pathetic that I'm using several protocols like json for it. I clearly should have written my own.

I turned it off myself, but I can see how the mousover thing would be really handy for those people who only get to browse here for maybe 10-15 minutes a day, in between work or other commitments. They can get a good taste of whether the OP is going to be anything they are interested in or not.

When you've only got 10 minutes for all of Alla, seconds count.
