Everybody's doing it.

Led Zeppelin have just had a reunion to world acclaim.
The Spice Sluts are selling out stadia around the world and Take That are storming the charts 10 years after they split up.

Add in The Who, James, Boyzone, Sex Pistols, Cream.

So which band (with all members still alive) would you like to see reform?

Assuming they could still recapture their former glory. . .

I'd pay to see the Stone Roses or Happy Mondays if they reformed.

Oddly enough, one I'd like to see, despite being commercially poptastic commercial cheesy tat would be Abba. Iconic, formulaic pop music at its best.

Any other ideas?

I know Yes, or at least some weird formation of their line-up, tours occasionally. Unfortunately, from what I've seen they're nowhere near the level of awesome that they were in the early-mid 70s. Old men in weird clothing and shiny capes is just strange. Gimme Anderson / Squire / Wakeman / Bruford / Howe with skill and a sense of humility intact and I'd be all over it.

A phantastic return to phorm phor Phish would phucking rock. It also seems like the sort of thing that will inevitably happen one of these days.

On a side note, I just got tickets to see Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton at NYC in February. Can't wait for that one.

Would it help if I printed off the OP and nailed it to a church door?

ABC.

Gotta love a British pop band that took its cue from Motown. "When Smokey Sings" is one of my favorite songs ever.

For years my co-worker tried to convince me that she dated Martin Fry.

Last week she showed me some photos of herself with him in the '80s. They were completely genuine-looking, but I insisted they'd been photoshopped.

Yesterday she handed me her cell-phone and said "Say Hi to Martin" I asked him "Was she a ***** back in the 80s?"

It was Martin Fry. Smiley: glare

He's still cool as fUck. *******. Smiley: motz

Soul Coughing.

Alternately, the Who, but I'd like them to return to not being a ****** live band.

Happy Mondays did a few gigs in 2007. I've heard a tape of one of them and it was quite good. The band most recently released Uncle Dysfunktional in July.

Talking Heads.

Minutemen. RIP Boon. Smiley: frown

Pixies - I know they are kinda back together and touring (saw them a few years back and it was great!) but I'd love to hear a studio album out of them.

I've seen both the Doobie Brothers and the Allmann Brothers, so I'm set. Maybe Boston.

Yeah, good idea, but it's going to be tough to get Brad Delp on stage without a portable heater and some SERIOUS smelling salts.

QFT - The last few Who reunion tours have been quieter than than a library. I had to tell a guy five rows over to stop talking on his cell phone 'cause I couldn't hear the band. You would think after a partial hearing loss they would be able to turn the music even louder. Buy some fUcking earplugs and play the music the way it was meant to be played.

If I could pull that off I'd just bring Duane back.

The Mighty Might Bosstones got back together this year too. That's about as close to a Boston reunion as your likely to get.

I really would have liked to have seen The Police when they came through Denver, but I refuse to pay over $100 for a ticket to anything. I tried getting tickets but the only ones available at the time were $150+.

Look on the bright side, Nobby.

Sure you were wrong. Sure, you made an idiot of yourself. And sure, you now have to eat crow. And sure, every day you work with this woman for the rest of your life, you'll have to face her in your wrongness knowing you were a complete jackass, and worse, knowing that she knows you were a complete jackass.

But at least you got to talk to Martin Fry!
