So during the big storm on Sunday, I noticed that there were a bunch of emergency vehicles at my neighbor across the street's house (kinda diagnol from me, the road curves and there are trees between our houses). Anyway, they were there for many hours, and I thought that perhaps there was a fire or something of that nature. There were two police cars, an ambulance, a fire truck, a couple tow/plow trucks...I also thought that maybe someone had gone off the road near their house...the weather was pretty bad.

So anyway, turns out that my neighbors were going out to plow their driveway and the husband accidentally backed over his wife. It sucks. She was really nice. My daughter liked to walk by their place and look at their horses.

Oh, dear.

How does this sort of thing happen? Did she not know he was going to plow? Did he not know she was in the vicinity? Was she wearing her wedding dress in the snow?

At what point did standing behind a large moving truck seem like a good idea?

It was
1. Really heavy snow falling, bad visibility.
2. She slipped and fell down after exiting the vehicle she got out of the car (from what I understand) but her husband didn't see it.
3. He couldn't see her when he went to back up because she was on the ground.
