I'm laying low today. The kids are both fighting something and I am sick of all of us being sick.

I'm going to some terribly domestic function with DSD tonight (that I'm going to insist we bail out of early so we can go grab a drink, or two). Smiley: nod

Saturday we are off to a fancy hotel for Mr. Tare's company Christmas party. Should be good food, anyway.

So, spill it. Whatchoo got goin' on?

I'm also fighting something. Everyone where I work has been sick with something or other and now it's my turn, bleh.

Work today, no plans tonight, go to Mr. Nadenu's Christmas party tomorrow night (nothing fancy, just his co-workers getting together at one of their houses), and not much on Sunday.

Tonight, it's all about addressing Christmas cards, bleh. Saturday morning is Christmas shopping and getting a birthday gift for the ex,who is coming over for dinner tomorrow night. Sunday will depend on the shopping success of Saturday, and will also include laundry/cleaning.

I know, I know, I'm a party animal.

We're just having a catered luncheon in lieu of an official office party this year. I actually prefer it this way since the party meant taking a Saturday night to hang with work folks and this means I get a free meal and to go home by 2:00pm or so.

Ashe has his one year check up today. Vaccines, yay. Maybe get some swimming in for the kids. Then tonight, as Tare mentioned, I'm dragging her with me to some stupid party so I'm not the only cool one there. Smiley: grin Then we're off for a few drinks.
Tomorrow I think we're heading to The Marbles Museum where there's some Christmas thing going on. I babysit Tares kids while she goes and parties at night.
Sunday probably do our gym thing. Next weekend will be crazy. My mother is flying down Friday night for two weeks and we'll be all over the place showing her around. The only time shes been down here, she was moving a friends mother into the bad part of Durham so she thinks this is a just a big crime area.Smiley: rolleyes

Oh, I forgot. They're switching out computers this weekend here at the office so I have to preserve anything I need preserved onto the network drive and clean off the rest of it. And, no, I don't keep a net history on here -- I have my Firefox history set to 0 days.

Saturday I get to go to a christmas party. Should be fun. Other than that, Still need to finish christmas shopping.

I have a meeting this morning with the IT Director of the company that is buying our site. So I've got my cutoff jeans on with my "You're in the Matrix" t-shirt. Looking to impress.

For this weekend, I've got nothing major planned. Some friends are going skiing, but I can't join them quite yet due to my recent surgery. I'll likely end up playing video games all weekend. Maybe get drunk and cyber with BT.

Nothing too out of the ordinary. In addition to the usual farm chores I'll be packing my bags for the mini-vacation I'll be leaving on next Tuesday. Ten days back in Colorado Springs to celebrate the holidays with family. Maybe I'll find time this weekend to get drunk and cyb0r with Kakar. I need to cut my hair, too.

Apparently, I acted like a jerk on Wednesday, so I have to patch things up with the SO. Other than that, my last final is today, and after this, I'm getting loaded, then playing WoW all night in my underwear with a glass of scotch nearby.

I was supposed to be on my way to upstate NY today to see my daughters movie premier (she's a cinematography major and this is her senior film project), but between massive snow storms there and here the 450 mile drive for an evening's movie viewing was just not feasible. I'm bummed...Smiley: frown

..but also relieved as it's leaves more time to get stuff done in this overly hectic time of the year.

Lame *** company luncheon today, complete with lame games and karaoke. And yo ubetter bet there won't be a drop of alcohol. It's not bad for me, I usually show up at 9ish, we are done by 1, so it will be a short day.

Free food and a chance to croon to your cronies...lol, sounds fun.

We had our 'holiday' meeting/party yesterday. We have to bring the food as the guberment can't subsidize holiday parties (but they give us two days off - paid for Christmas...go figure).

I have no BIG fancy holiday parties on my calendar this year. The local dress boutique downtown has the prettiest little holiday dress in the window. I want to buy it, but have no where to wear it.

Today was our Staff Christmas lunch.

Sadly nobody was caught playing tonsil-tennis with a married co-worker, although one guy over-indulged in Guinnes and loudly expressed his undying loyalty to his boss in a crowded restaurant. Priceless.

I was being Mr Nice and taxi-ing some of my team home so no dwinkypoos for n0bster. A pleasant enough day though.

This weekend, the usual international jet-set playboy lifestyle involves laundry, housework. Inbetween that I'll probably restring a couple of the guitars, level a few alts in LoTRO and enjoy the feeling of not writing Christmas cards to anyone as I'm an miserable old cnut.

Jonwin and I were thinking of maybe seeing a movie today, but decided we were too tire to go downtown on a bus. Jonwin works over night this evening, so I will delay going to sleep in a empty bed. Then tomorrow we will snuggle, as we both catch up on lack of sleep.

I'll try to get in some gaming, when I'm not working on hat and mittens for my grandson. I have at least 3 more knitting projects to get done before Christmas, so haven't had a lot of time to play online games.

Only reason I will leave the house this weekend, is if I have to go with daughter to buy recycling bin from the city. No more having to remember what day is for paper or bottles and metal. From now on the city will sort our recyclables for us.
