More proof that there is no God:

Author Terry Pratchett is suffering from a rare form of early Alzheimer's disease, it has been revealed.

In a letter published on the website of artist Paul Kidby, the writer said the condition was behind a "phantom stroke" he had earlier this year.

Pratchett said his statement should be interpreted as "I am not dead" and that he had taken the news "philosophically" and "possibly with a mild optimism".

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I've read Prachett. He was boring.

I'm still upset about Adams though.

I only know Pratchett from his collaborative work with Neil Gaiman, Good Omens which is in style somewhat similar to Douglas Adams.

To restate the OP, I will quote the immortal words of Denis Leary: "You mean Stevie Ray Vaughan is dead, but we can't get Jon Bon Jovi in a helicopter??"

Bugger

Would have posted earlier but can't access the Asylum on my work pc and didn't have time to reply via my iPhone. Smash's thread title is much more apt than mine, anyhoo.

Why is it the helicopter and its' pilot is always the one to buy the farm when it comes to musicians and in the movies? My family and I roar with laughter when we go to the theater whenever we see a helo being used by both the bad guys and good guys. I feel like I'm a Red Shirt on the original Star Trek series...
