Oprah apparently lives in the Matrix, as today she declared Obama this country's Neo. She said she is supporting Obama in this election, because he was "the one," ostensibly quoting the character Jane Pittman in The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman.

My question to you is, can we trust the word of a woman who obviously has such a callus disregard for this generation's possibly most important film? Is she attempting to woo young males by slyly misconstruing the phrase, "the One," thus bolstering her army of minions with men? Can we believe in the good intentions of a woman determined to destroy the fabric of the American nuclear family by emasculating husbands and fathers everywhere by showering females with "Oprah's Favorite Things" like cars, refrigerators, feminine hygiene products, and the like-- things most men could never procure for their womenfolk?

I say not. Vote Republican.

The Matrix was one of the most over-rated films I've ever seen.

Nothing to do with Obama, Oprah or politics. It was just not all that deep or interesting except as eye-candy and now all that eye-candy has been beaten into the ground with a rock.

I submit to you that The Matrix was this generation's first peek into deeper philsophical issues than they had previously been exposed to, by say, Dude, Where's My Car? While it may not by 12 Angry Men, the first was a fine film.

Oprah needed to address this!

All I have to add to this thread is that I would definitely bang Chelsea Clinton. She isn't beautiful, she isn't necessarily hot. I see her on TV though and can't help but think of things so unspeakable that they would make even the most jaded and seasoned hookers flinch.

Just thought I would share that oddity with you.

Oh and Oprah is the Oracle, Obama is the One, Mitt Romney is a Mormon agent Smith, and Kucinich is a hobbit that wondered onto the set by mistake.

I'd buy that, but then again, I'd buy nearly anything Oprah says for me to buy seeing as I am a charter member of her Book-of-the-Month Club. If St. Oprah tells me to vote for Obama, then, by God, I am doing it! She is a light in the darkness, a veritable high priestess and purveyor of the religion Consumerism to which I am a fervent and zealous adherent. All hail, St. Oprah!

Anyone else remember that study that showed that conservatives were more likely to be whiners when they were kids, yeah that was great.

Bush's daughters are both far more do-able than Chelsea. Not to say I wouldn't bang her too, because I would. If for nothing else than bragging rights.

Sadly, Oprah's weight (snicker) will probably end up influencing a great many people. She is just far too popular among both black folk and women. Will that make Barack a frontrunner? Who cares? He'll probably end up being shot if he gets elected anyways. Hell, someone will probably pick him off prior to the election, if he gets that far.

Having been a fully paid up member of the "Chelsea Clinton prolly has six tits and eats on all 4s" school of thought, I had to recant. I worked with her last year and can confirm that she is seriously cute, do-able and charming.

As for Oprah, I suspect it would be more true to type that she was referring to an Elton John/Bernie Taupin composition, on the basis that there is no spoon.

Apparently, Mitt Romney has some relatives that live one street over from me. We'll be seeing them at a Christmas open house next weekend. Well, presumably only one wife will come. /shrug

Ask 'em to show you their holy underwear. That works as a terrific conversational icebreaker every time.

It's a comfort to know that Oprah is only a racist and not a sexist too. Since she's not willing to vote for someone of a different race, but willing to vote for someone of a different sex.

On a side note I wonder if because of affirmative action will Obama be spotted a few extra electorial college votes if he is able to run for prez? I hope so it would only be fair since he is black and had to overcome the oppression of whitey. :)
