but it's still Friday.

So, what's happening this weekend, hot stuff?

Mr. Tare is studying for finals so I'll be up to my eyeballs in kids. I think we have some sort of dinner thing at our neighbour's (average age 79) tommorrow night. Let's hope they're drinkers, but I don't like my chances. I am making Paella and finishing my cookies.

Good times.

It's raining so we'll be staying indoors mostly. The rain ruined our last weekend too, but no biggie because it was supposed to be the unpacking, organizing and decluttering of the house. Smiley: tongue

We are going to see a Great Dane that we are possibly adopting. If he gets along with the dog we have now, we'll adopt the Dane.

It's also my oldest's birthday tomorrow, but he doesn't want to celebrate until his school starts winter break. But we'll have a dinner and cake for him this weekend at least.

Birthday party for my nephew on Sunday. We're going rollerskating!

I'm heading down to le maison de Roo this afternoon. We'll probably go see The Golden Compass tomorrow, despite the meh reviews, just for the pretty factor.

It's Mrs. Frakk's weekend to work, so I'm taking care of the baby. Once he goes to bed both nights, I'll be doing a smidge of work, and the probably playing some Oblivion or something.

Just a standard weekend, nothing special.

I've got my 1 week follow up for my lasik tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably try to finish my shopping for Christmas, and I have hockey tickets for tomorrow night. Football all day Sunday likely.

Think I'm gonna try and make some bourban balls...something new to add to holiday confectionary r'epetoire.

Otherwise, we have tentative plans to meet up with some friends for an early dinner on Saturday. I hope to get a little x-country ski in before we lose our snow.

(I'll also play some EQ, and maybe Zelda, clean the house, wrap gifts, do laundry...)

Dinner date tonight and then we'll be over at Castle Snorre and watching some DVDs I rented for the weekend. Movies tonight: Shrek 3 and Superbad.

Movies I watched last night and today on my own (I'm off on Fridays):

Hod Rod - actually pretty fun goofy film.

Live Free or Die Hard - Fun action film.

Ratatouille - Great Pixar flick - I will pick it up for my collection. Patton Oswalt and Janeane Garafolo rock!

Movies I'll watching on my own later this weekend:

Spiderman 3
Oceans 13 (I know, I heard it sucks, meh)
Dead or Alive - Jamie Pressly and other hot chicks & martial arts - I'm in!

Other than that, decorating the house for Christmas, a little snow shoveling & de-icing the driveway, some Christmas shopping, and if time, a little EQ2 or X-Box 360 - which I haven't done since Bioshock (which I need to finish).

My middle daughter is over to help me clean out junk in my living room. We have several boxes of books and tables to take down to the basement. Then it's time too start moving furnisher, so my sister and get my china cabinet out of her house and over here. Just wish I could get rug rolled up and out of the house.

She has me ordering her online Christmas and birthday presents for her boyfriend too. Cash already in my pocket.

Tomorrow we have a Balticon meeting to attend. Last month they asked if I would be on committee again. At least this year, I have more then 2 months to do everything.

Jonwin is working this weekend. So during the day I'll either be at my computer or knitting Christmas presents. I need to make me another fingerless mitten, as we broke one window pane of the French door to our living room. Tomorrow, daughter boyfriend will bring over new pane and repair the door. Until then I have a pillow stuff in the window. Maybe we can get rug out, while he is here.

Oh and he has a surprise for Jonwin, but since I know he sometimes checks posts here, I'll not saying another word.

Rocky Patel cigar tasting at the local cigar shop. Probably wont buy any because I'm not a big fan, but will definitely pick up a box of CAO MX2's and start those tonight.

Stop by Walmart, pick up some airfreshners for our housekeepers and get a bottle of Knob Creek.

Prep the 12 racks of spareribs for smoking tomorrow to take to the company christmas party.

Pass out drunk.

Santa keeps telling me to order one. I feel guilty though, even if I tell myself it's a Christmas present. I keep thinking I could get Noah one more toy to break in 2 days if I don't get the card, haha. And I'm starting to feel a bit like Liam Neeson.

Actually, a couple did pan out - I'm seeing them again after the holidays. One didn't pan out, which is no biggie. I'm just in a socializing mode and not looking to get serious with anyone yet. I'm not really ready for that.

The lady last night is one of my steadier dates - she's cool with my total abhorrence for a serious relationship and yet we still boink. Good times all around. Single life has it's perks. Smiley: yippee

I got my first full weekend off in over 3 months, and we got our first real snowfall of the season. So it's been a pretty good weekend, considering it's the perfect weather for staying inside by the fire.
