I love you Commodore 64!!

Quote:
(CNN) -- Like a first love or a first car, a first computer can hold a special place in people's hearts. For millions of kids who grew up in the 1980s, that first computer was the Commodore 64. Twenty-five years later, that first brush with computer addiction is as strong as ever.

"There was something magical about the C64," says Andreas Wallstrom of Stockholm, Sweden.

He remembers the day he first laid eyes on his machine back in 1984.

I kinda wish I still had mine. *sniffle*

Commemorative avatar change!

The C=64 was a great little computer Smiley: smile

Also, the Commodore version of Archon was easily the best one of the batch.

I used to love Paradroid on the C64, got a sort of mini console that has several C64 games (same quality too) that plugs into the tele recently and it's still fun, sort of anyway. (it also has Mission Impossible I&II, LeMans and some other)

Some games were ingenious in their simplicity, or it was just because I was young, either way, at times I find the older games still a lot more enjoyable than the recent graphically stunning games. Not always though, I'm not that gung-ho about the C64.

Paradroid was awesome simplicity.

Except the ending was total ***. They didn't even bother telling me that the princess was in the other castle.

I got my start on a Commodore 128 actually. Wrote my first program at 8. I still have a massive box of pirated commodore games somewhere.

Anyone ever get to play with the Commodore Amiga? thats where I learned to animate things on. It was fun.

Amiga, baby!!!

Remember "Dungeon Master"? The absolute last word in 3D gaming before the advent of parralax scrolling games.

Also the game where you were the shipping magnate?
