Sperm donor to pay child support

A man who donated sperm to a lesbian couple is being made to pay maintenance by the Child Support Agency (CSA).

Andy Bathie, 37, from Enfield, north London, claims he was assured by the couple he would have no personal or financial involvement for the children.

He donated his sperm as a friend rather than go through a fertility clinic.

The CSA said only anonymous donors at licensed centres are exempt from being treated as the legal father of a child born as a result of their donation.

Mr Bathie, a firefighter, said he cannot afford to have children with his own wife due to the financial implications.
So, either that confirms the natural order that womens were meant to clean kitchens in high-heeled shoes in-between providing their husband with sons, or just that this is one unlucky *******.

Either way - Ha-Ha! Sux to be him!

He should demand child visitation rights (since he has to pay for the whelp) and turn the kid against his mommies in revenge. Perfectly legitimate excuse to mess up a child.

Am I the only one who took that as he banged one of them rather than doing artificial insemination? I know that's not what happened, but it was a misleading statement.

I'm pretty sure the same situation has occurred in the U.S. Not that our laws aren't backwards and barbaric too... just thought I'd mention it.
