Haha, I thought the thread title was I Have Elinda to Beat...and I wondered how Elinda was responsible for your poor organization.

She's ebil.

Seven pages? That'll be an exciting 15 minutes.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Meh, it's an intro class. Regardless, I'm starting from zero. And, before anyone says the inevitable, I'm sitting here with a dozen Firefox tabs open to research sources, so hush.

Kind of like how my husband is studying for his real estate license while playing poker online.

I'd relate the story of frobisher and the lost crewman, then the orals story found 300 laters that finished the story, but I told that one before so you are SOL, I don't need to be mocked.

Hawaiians getting wiped off the map by disease and white rich americans, trail of tears, powahatan and his confederacy and how the whiteman ****** it up, or you could just write about how f'ucking awesome Chief Dan George was in the Outlaw Josey Wales.

G'luck.

Nah, I'm done now. I wrote it on an Indian dancer and actress from the 1920's & 30's and the issues she faced trying to meld her traditional dance and customs into a mainstream entertainment career.

If nothing else, it'll be a break for the instructor from reading papers about totem poles and Little Bighorn.

You should have written it on that I Love Lucy episode where Ricky puts on an Indian-themed show that Lucy sneaks into.

"Lucyyyy, come HEE-eeerrree"

"Nuh-UHHH UH-uhhh"

Edit: Can't believe it's there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDPjzeSLBMA

No. No, there was not.

Off topic, when do you suppose there'll be a change to the "Save" icon?
Screenshot

No one uses those any more. Or, before you pipe in with how you use them still, they're rarely used. Or will they remain under the force of their own inertia since, once they replace it, people will say "Hey! How do I save this thing from the toolbar??"

That's an excellent question. Unfortunately the CD icon is used for something else, and the little safe icon is probably a Mac thing, so no go there.

Maybe a redesigned Superman S?

They should change it to a typewriter, as an homage to the Resident Evil games.

OK, maybe not, just brainstorming here...

Why would that **** him off? We learned as a matter of course that the Seminoles were an amagalation of other tribes (including some intermarriage with escaped slaves) which were forced into Spanish Florida as a result of British/American pressures. The indigenous tribes from the Florida region were wiped out by diseases brought by Ponce de León and de Soto back in the 1500's.

As a word of advice, when you e-mail your document to yourself at work so you can print it out the next day, be sure it's saved in a format you can actually open from the office. To wit, I use Corel Word Perfect at home and the my computer (with Word) at the office wouldn't open it without installing some conversion software which it wouldn't let me install because I don't actually possess the MS Office CDs. I could have saved it as an RTF or something had I know but... live & learn.

I eventually found the tools on the intrawebz to print it but that took an hour longer than it needed to.
