Thus far, literally EVERY parent of a baby or toddler to whom I've spoken over the past couple days (and some of whom I know secondhand through acquaintances) has reported that on Saturday night (and some on Friday) had weird sleeping issues with their kids. Issues like, the kid didn't nap all day, went to sleep early, then woke up and remained awake the entire night, or woke up frequently throughout the night. I mean absolutely everyone I've spoken to, both in RL and in places like LiveJournal, they're all reporting this.

Tristan woke up at 1 am and decided it was time to have a little fiesta. That lasted about an hour and a half, and then he woke up every half-hour to an hour for the rest of the night. Needless to say, I was very tired Sunday.

So my question--did anyone here notice anything unusual that night? I just checked, and as I suspected, it was a full moon that night.

My boy is nearly 2, and I fucking swear the lil *********** darling hasn't slept thru the night more than twice in his whole life.

So in conclusion, sack up, and stop your whining.....

Smiley: lol My 2 yr old has slept through every single night since 2 months old. I'm sure he can kick the crap out of your little gay baby too.

Haha, Jack slept straight from 7pm to 5am without so much as a peep. That may be the first night he's done that since he was born.

Luckily tho', because of the socio-economic circles that our boy will be moving in, the only reason for your Cletus to ever come into contact with our Ash will be to offer to clean Ashes windscreen for a dollar at the traffic lights.

No sleeping issues at all with mine. But the youngest one is 8 so if she woke up in the middle of the night, she wouldn't cry, she'd just turn on the light and read until she fell asleep. If it was my middle one, he'd turn on the light and listen to his iPod until he fell asleep. If it was my oldest, he'd go make a sammich, drink some milk and go back to bed.

I heard that it's a Genetic Mutation, that kids who don't sleep on Full Moon will, do I daresay? Turn into Werewolves at the age of 6. Watch for fur and a tail, and when it comes, stab something silver into his/her chest region.

As far as I know, my little "angel" slept through the night. Usually if he wakes up, he lets me know. Smiley: bah

The fact that you called it a windscreen makes Cletus the winner.

My daughter peed all over the folding mattress, causing us to cut it in half and throw away the soaked part. Is that full moon behavior? Smiley: lol

Stephen, our 2yr old took like 3 hrs to fall asleep on Saturday night. He woke up every 30 min between 8 and 11 before he finally fell asleep. He's not been that way in ages..

From what I remember of babies sleep habits, if anything threw off their normal eating, napping, sleeping schedule, even a bit, it would wreck havoc with their night-time long sleep.

It was a weekend, and a holiday feeding frenzied weekend to boot, probably many babies 'normal' schedules were not adhered too.

That would seem to me like a more plausible explanation for cranky babie than a full moon.

We already probably knew this and didn't say that because then the thread would be over. It's more fun to blame the full moon and any werewolf tendencies the little 'uns may have.

As an infant, Dracoid always slept better when there was a full moon.

I suspect that was because at that time of the month, he found his bedtime face-combing soothing.
